1/n Time for a #UroNephrology case. Let’s start by discussing MAG3 nuclear scan, a fairly underutilized test in nephrology. What is MAG3? It’s a 263 D molecule that is both filtered and secreted through the kidney, thus, it’s a marker of total renal perfusion / renal blood flow.

1/n Hyponatremia in cirrhosis rounds: case 1: ESLD 2/2 ETOH. Admitted at OUH 2/2 abd distension/lethargy w/sNa 133. Kept on spirono + furosem + lactulose. Gradual ⬇️in sNa in 10 days. Transferred 4 ⬆️level of care. Arrives with sNa 125, sCr 0.8. Alert, jaundice, ascites, no edema
