TN had 6.29 c voters last time. Turnout was 73.6% ie 4.63 c voted.
There are only 5.73 c voters this time. If the same 4.63 c turn up this time, the voting % will zoom to 80.7%.
Simple math.
Sharing this as most journos are poor in math and will jump up and down!
History will be kind to EPS like it is with Narasimha Rao. I hope he gets his 2nd term and becomes an elected CM unlike Mr Rao who faded into oblivion. #TamilnaduLegislativeAssemblyelection2026
Edappadi Palanisamy EPS in my opinion is the Narasimha Rao of TN politics. He was selected, not elected, fought to keep his govt alive, despite the Tuticorin shooting created massive infrastructure and delivered good governance, wasn't that popular in the media or with the public
@dharanisalem@SundarCOffl For PTR, the bad state of roads and waste disposal in his constituency is the work of the madurai corporation which his run by his loyalist. But a library in the neihbourghing constitruensy of Madurai Nort, all hail PTR - BS
Be boring in the right ways. Go to bed early. Wake up early. Eat simple foods. Save money. Exercise. Read old books. Avoid drama. Boring is seriously underrated.
@stanfordseq@sekar_vembu@mkstalin The constitution clearly states that delimitation has to be done regularly to make sure the number of seats of a state is proportionate to its population. Unfortunately that has never happened.
If the proportion of seats remains the same, how does it change the balance of power. If you have 6 out of 10 seats and number of seats increase to 20 and you have 12, your strength remains the same. All that changes is the size of electorate in each constituency reduces. So what’s the crib all about?
@sekar_vembu@mkstalin Delimitation is a fair and necessary process. What matters is the value of one vote in UP is much lesser than the value of one vote in TN due to population difference. This needs to be corrected.
A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS? We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!

@StableInvestor But the final steep fall from 2018 peak was Covid. Ignoring that would mean we are either another 10% away from the bottom or a year more of time correction #niftysmallcap250 . Time to buy individual small caps rather than index.
My take on why it's better to wait and not to make a bad trade deal.
Procrastination is a great tool when it comes to fighting a bully.
During the Punic Wars, the Roman general Fabius Maximus, famously known as Cunctator ("The Delayer"), refused to engage Hannibal in a direct, head-on battle. He was mocked and called a "procrastinator" by his peers who wanted "decisive action."
However, his "procrastination" was actually a form of antifragility:
1. By delaying, he allowed Hannibal’s army to exhaust its resources and wear down.
2. He let time (a stressor) work for him and against his enemy.
The lesson: Procrastination is a form of "voluntary omission" that prevents you from making irreversible, fragile mistakes. It is suboptimal to see a problem and immediately "do something".
@dulQuer deserves all the love for #Kaantha more than #Lokah . But sadly it's the good film that didn't work while the middling film became an industry hit.
Smart American students now skip going to college and forward-thinking employers are enabling them. This is going to be a profound cultural shift. This is the real "youth power", enabling young men and women to stand on their own feet, without having to incur heavy debt to get a degree and paying their own way. This trend will change the way they view the world and it will change culture and politics.
I would urge educated Indian parents and high schoolers, as well as leading companies to pay attention.
At Zoho, no job requires a college degree and if some manager posts a job that requires a degree, they get a polite message from HR to remove the degree requirement!
In Tenkasi, I closely work with a technical team whose median age is 19. Their energy and can-do spirit is infectious. I have to work hard to keep up with them!
