1⃣ Inversión pública (financiación a iniciativas ganaderas)

The biggest threat to tropical forests is not climate change. It is cutting them down.

@VenturiniMiri Hmm it could have been worse for me. It looks like the outcome will be at least a great postdoc so that’s not the issue. But I felt like shit, it was truly awful. And it made it clear that anyone with just a bit less emotional resilience than me would probably give up forever.
@VenturiniMiri You CAN complain! It is not only about outcomes, but also about the process. It can a dehumanising experience. Even if you get your dream job. My girlfriend aptly referred to it as the cattle fair - humor helped.
@VenturiniMiri e.g., trauma and adverse childhood experiences leave wounds that get triggered by the brutality of the job market. These are much more likely in people who grew up poor. I don’t think they necessarily make someone have less potential as researcher or as a lecturer.
@VenturiniMiri Yes! You can! I have many feelings about it. I like some features of it, many people have interesting market design type ideas to improve it. My two cents are that there should be more psychological support + more understanding that the emotional toll it has is unequal.
It's here: my annual presentation on decarbonization.
There is a lot going on, and I attempt to capture it in 200 slides. Ocean heat content, deforestation, fund performance, vehicle efficiency, lighting technology, GLP-1 agonists, and much more. https://t.co/DxlE3kbl13

Chenxin Li, pulled together a lot of great advice for data visualization, with clear "do this, not that" examples for each item.
