@aksjefokus@henrywinter@alfiehaaland Everyone likes the rules until they're applied to them. If a player goes two hands on another's chest and pushes them, they can't be shocked when they go down - especially when the ref had already delayed the corner to tell Haaland to stop shirt pulling.
@Tylerjk802@appiecule@Domexela26 Doesn't have to be intentional. Hitting ppl with the boo hoo when your president cried so hard FIFA changed the rules corruptly to accommodate. You should be angry that FIFA are taking actions that could invalidate a US win
@SirBrave@PETAUK This is a protest about animal testing, so not relevant + vegans oppose ALL slaughter. If they spent their time going after specifically halal (though I note you don't mention kosher) it would indicate that they think other slaughter is okay, when it isn't
“Babies” crashed Cooper’s Hill as adults chased cheese 🍼
Cows produce milk for their babies but calves are taken within a day so the milk nature intended for them can be used to make cheese instead.
Please choose vegan cheese and help stop separating mothers and their babies.
@Lexcalibur001@Stephen_Agnew@queenie4rmnola Except he runs the risk of offending someone every time he leaves his house. Either he tries to live a life or you think ppl with tourettes shouldn't be a part of society. That's common sense btw, just sounds like you're a cruel person who lacks empathy.
@Lexcalibur001@Stephen_Agnew@queenie4rmnola Please put yourself in his position, a life of dealing with this and unsympathetic cunts online are telling him after a movie has been made about his struggle that he should be banned from attending the awards show because people might be exposed to his condition
@RossBrian30643@Stephen_Agnew@queenie4rmnola He should just never leave his house? And should also not live with anyone ofc, because he could offend them with his tourettes.
You can still walk that back, otherwise I'll have to assume you are just actually a wanker.
@MonoKnightRider@EylonALevy No it wouldn't. They wouldn't be bred in the first place if there's was no demand for their exploitation.
If demand slowly whittles down as ppl went vegan, we'd be left with very few at the end.
@JBeeGood1@BrendanCzuczuk You're so dumb. A year ago you would have said taking Greenland was stupid. So China are going to take it, despite the fact that the US has a base there?
Youre worried China are gonna go to war with the whole of NATO to take Greenland? They haven't even made a go at Taiwan yet
BREAKING: PETA supporters have disrupted @QMUL Senate meeting, calling for an immediate end to cruel and ineffective sepsis experiments on mice. Over 150 drugs have treated sepsis in mice; none have succeeded in humans.
@metaburbia@henri_mourant@Geero_Gero Huh, I guess you consider 'things' to be part of your family. Maybe that is just you. Most others only consider 'someones' part of theirs. Perhaps you use a different definition to others😉. If we were talking a couple centuries back, you'd be saying the same of children
@metaburbia@henri_mourant@Geero_Gero Families will literally refer to their cats or dogs as 'part of the family' you don't do that with something, you do that with someone.
@metaburbia@henri_mourant@Geero_Gero Yes they do, they essentially treat them as though they were similar to a child. They certainly don't treat them as a 'thing'
@metaburbia@henri_mourant@Geero_Gero There have been countries which have legally recognised some non-humans as legal persons. And there are numerous people in western societies who treat their companion animals as persons rather than things. In fact, most ppl would probs find it strange to treat them as a thing
@metaburbia@henri_mourant@Geero_Gero Yeah, as our values change, so does our use of terminology. Children didn't always have full legal 'personhood'. Quite famously slaves in lots of societies were not considered to be persons, socially or legally.
Personhood is legal and philosophical, and it's up for debate
