It’s one thing to declare “Christ is risen!” on Sunday
It’s something else to live “Christ is risen” on Monday.

Easter isn’t just a day, it’s a promise. He is still risen, even on Monday.

May the words we declared yesterday be the truth we walk in today.

Everyone is gathering outside the hospital in Barcelona that 25-year-old Noelia Castillo Ramos will be euthanized in 10 hours from now. Many more coming tomorrow. If she chooses to let them take her life, she will know that millions of people around the world are going to miss her.

The government took her from her parents during their financial struggles and put her in a home for teens. While she was there alone and scared, a bunch of them gang r*ped her. Nobody stopped them. Nobody helped.

Those teens (believed to mainly be from other countries) were never arrested and are still walking free.

She attempted to take her life from the 5th story of the building, but God decided it was not her time to go yet. She is dealing with pain and difficulty caring for herself, but AI medical advancements in that area provide hope that she will be in a good place again soon.

The message this sends to young people is heartbreaking. She is not terminally ill and without hope. She is depressed and needs help from the community around her. They want us to feel valueless and become desensitized to this. We can never allow that. Join me in praying for a miracle tomorrow!

💍🤖 Approx 15 years ago, I predicted the rise of what I labelled "Hybrid Marriages" between humans and machines. This was long before AI became a household term. Now, it seems at least one American state, Ohio, has recognised that without the introduction of legal protections this might soon become a real possibility.

As I said those years ago, once we both bin the traditional definition of marriage AND spend more time relating to machines than humans, we arguably open the door to a plethora of marriage options. These include a marriage variation in which a person says: "I have a romantic and sexual relationship with a machine, eg. a robot. I'd like the legal, social and financial benefits of marriage extended to my relationship."

👶Were this to be accepted, we'd likely then allow children to be raised within such partnerships, because what one generation tolerates the next generation often treats as normal, taking it one step further.

I sincerely wish I could say that I'd been wrong in my prediction. At least, to some degree, we still have time to make ethical choices regarding how we relate to machines, and reflect those standards in our laws. But we must begin to act now, getting ahead of the inevitable change curve.

After all, not all change can truly be called "progress".
