@GelatoWaffles@TheReal_DealDan@_morijinn People who complain about yellow paint have, across the board, the most shallow understanding of game design, I've noticed.
@SkagthePrince@ShalltearKuro@hrlynicole i mean i can tell that it's just a badly choreographed 3d animation, chinese games are full of them, the native audience doesn't care and loves cheap aura farming gimmicks
@Artesto_@ShalltearKuro@hrlynicole yeah it's awful choreo
you don't need ai to make awful choreo
chinese games especially are full of it, probably because the animation is cut up and outsourced to cost saving measures
if one team misreads the storyboard or whatever they've already done the work and nobody cares
@IsThisA3DModel hell even ai could be a tool like that but nobody's interested in making tools for artists, everybody's interested in magical make thing buttons to sell to middle management
this guy probably doesn't even know zbrush exists
@IsThisA3DModel i mean it's true that a lot of creative work involves a disproportionate amount of bullshit menial work that nobody really wants to do, but that's why people invent better tools all the time to cut down on that work
@IAMROLLES@IsThisA3DModel to be fair doing bullshit menial work is not inherently rewarding on its own, if there was an easier way to do the same thing without compromising quality or intention everybody would switch to it
and they did and they do, 3d modelling software keeps progressing
@ApexHyperion@GiffelWish@regularaugust what's considered 'awful' is directly related to what's considered 'different from the norm', it's cultural. there's countries in the world today where marrying a 13 year old is considered OK but you or me probably wouldn't ever think this. there's gonna be inevitable overlap.
