A sincere request to #UFBU
If you get the opportunity this time to negotiate wage revision for PSBs, please at least go through this attached table and analyze the alarming gap in our Basic Pay.
From complete parity to lagging far behind peer institutions not just in pay, but in basic service conditions like the 5-day work week.
Don’t negotiate for routine increments, negotiate to restore our lost parity.

@kmarkri What's the use sir, even though our demands like 5 day banking, regulated working hours for officers are not getting fulfilled & still many officers committing suicide bcoz of pressure, improper worklife balance, staff shortage and all no one cares how to stop them.Better to resign.
@bankaffairs Instead of telling to leave by 6 why don't you make it a legal so that no one has the right to question any one.
Make it a legal for fair work-life balance of officers fraternity.
I am opposed to late sitting and holiday working.
And I have practised what I preach .
My last branch was in delhi 500 mt away from my bank head office and I used to ensure that all my co worker leaves branch by 5.15 and by 5.30 branch is locked from outside .
In 2019 One day my SRM was coming out of head office around 5.30pm and I was entering head office he said krishna jee aapke branch visit karna tha aaj maine kaha kal aayega because my branch is closed it is 5.30 .
He said he has time on his hand where he should go I said you can visit sector 12 that branch will be open till 6.30 .
Due to this timing discipline my branch was most in demand by employees for posting and this was one branch customer services was outstanding because all staff used to be happy and always enjoyed their duty .
One must not do late sitting and say big no to holiday working .
As a branch head never opened branch on a holiday not even for audit and half yearly and quaterly closing .
@AIBEAofficial Formation of committee with out any time bound is a positive development? Why don't you meet twice in a week and discuss about our demands?Meeting once in a couple of months and then discussions are going on without any time bound. please answer when is ur next meet with iba ?
A bank officer has a fixed time to come in. He has no fixed time to leave. Counters shut, and the work continues — clearing, audits, campaigns, calls from the controller. Ten to twelve hours is treated as normal, and the pay still does not count those hours. That is the cruel part.
The same Central government that keeps its own offices at 9 to 5:30, with lunch from 1 to 1:30, has left bankers without a closing time. Late sitting in those offices is rare, and even then it needs sanction. In a bank it is the rule.
Unions were paid to fight this. They did not. Members’ money goes into parties, and the culture of collecting and celebrating has settled inside the unions too. Five-day banking, agreed in March 2024, is still not on the ground. This time AIBOA raised regulated hours in the CLC sitting, and asked that work close by 6 p.m. Talking there has not changed the branch.
Lunch and regulated hours are not a luxury. They are the minimum the government protects for itself and denies to bankers. Government looked away. Unions cashed in. The officer is still inside.

@barsima77 Unless if we protest like Gen Z this may not happen.our UFBU leaders have to resign and give leadership to younger generation then only this will happen.
@PSBPunch Why such service regulations are made for bank officers? Same officer cadre from different sectors are earning more salary and leaving on time...Dont bank officers need work life balance ?? Who's answerable for officers who lost lives because of work pressure and all ??
@Dinesh_Unni Wasteproposal..LIC,RBI,SEBI,NABARD have continous two days holidays why for bankers they are playing these dramas and that too with staff shortage, everytime we have to ask someone for week off.
@Hellobanker_in When that committee will be formed ?? In banks for everything TAT will be there...what's the TAT for forming committee and implementation of 5 day banking.
