5 Ministers while they were speaking in different events, there was power cuts.
@CTR_Nirmalkumar gave a clarification that it shifted from one generation to another.

But this is going on as a pattern, this is warning signal. @CMOTamilnadu must take this as a red flag and make sure that these issues are addressed ASAP.

Life gives us warning signals which if we ignore might end up catastrophic. Vijay is trying to give a honest governance if CTR or XYZ or some rando tries to tamper that no one should not stay silent.

Abuse of any kind is wrong. Justifying that their IT wing did that to a Minister so we will do that doesn’t cut it.

Respected Minister @CTR_Nirmalkumar, I have a simple question.

With Energy Resources & Law, Courts & Prisons, Prevention of Corruption, Elections & Passports and several other critical responsibilities under your charge, are all these portfolios receiving adequate attention and delivering the outcomes expected?

Power-related concerns still demand attention, while the anti-corruption machinery has also seen leadership changes.

Is holding press meets and explaining the government’s position enough? Governance is measured by decisions taken, problems resolved and outcomes delivered.

Can every portfolio under your charge receive the focused attention it deserves?

🚨🚨 Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation (TNPDCL) to outsource meter reading from October

TNPDCL is set to outsource electricity meter reading to third-party contract workers from October, citing a major shortage of assessors.

Tamil Nadu has 3.5 crore LT connections, but only 3,063 of 7,565 sanctioned assessor posts are currently filled, leaving nearly 60% vacant.

The contract model comes with strict accountability:
• Actual meter reading at consumer premises
• Mobile app + optical/Bluetooth reading
• ₹200/day penalty for delays
• ₹50–₹200 penalty for incorrect readings
• Payment only after 100% assessment

The move is aimed at making meter readings faster, more accurate and accountable, while reducing billing discrepancies and the practice of “table reading”.
