Nowadays many MLAs visit PHCs, hospitals and schools with cameras, publicly questioning doctors, nurses, teachers and staff for reels and social media content.
But how often do we see surprise inspections inside TASMAC, RTO, Sub-Registrar, PWD, Municipality or Revenue offices where people repeatedly complain about bribery, corruption and middlemen culture?
Recently, hospital visits by the Srirangam MLA and Tambaram MLA, where doctors and nurses were warned in front of cameras and some staff reportedly faced suspension, have created fear and discomfort among healthcare workers.
Doctors, nurses and government staff also have dignity, families and personal lives. Stop recording faces, shouting at employees and turning workplace issues into political reel content.
Mistakes can be corrected through proper enquiry systems. Public humiliation is not governance. @Tnmoa_offl
