Yes, If we account data from 2025 it will be not 60x but around 10x, so still less efficient. But do you know what 90% and 50% is? What is evaporation? And how toxic paper production? And how factory just dumped all chemicals into lakes with pure drinkable water for like 80 yeas without control? Do you know how many ecosystems were destroyed?
I don't need AI or even google to tell you about it, I read physical books, journals and articles in the internet long before AI could do any productive work but I prefer to use AI because I'm lazy and it can provide such knowledge in compact form to you.

Yep, we can like it or not, but it's the only thing that are common between all art movements - they define an art as they see it. So I'm against digital garbage too, but it's a just a filtering problem, and that AI is an instrument everyone can use. And anyway, things can be beautiful even without human touch, like nature for example. I'd say mby very overused phrase but it doesn't make it wrong - "Beauty in the eye of the beholder".

Don't be discouraged. We are still humans after all and will always supported talented individuals of our species. Just because something better - doesn't mean that everyone will like it or even need it to be better. Yes, now everyone filling internet with digital trash, but they'll be bored soon anyway. Yes, it'll be harder to find a job, but that's not only about artists tho, it's about every profession, no one is safe. AI will require human touch for quite some time anyway, and talented artists will always do better in their field especially when they passionate about it.
From the pure art without commercial part - I see it like chess. Last time when human were able to beat AI was 30 years ago, but it was big specialised machine with human experts. That was still discouraging for a lot of people, and a lot of them were talking that's human chess will die. Now any phone can beat that machine. But chess is still alive, and feeling greater than ever, there's tournaments, there's new top tier talents showing up every year. And people using AI to learn from it, to find new stuff they overlook before.
In the end we can only hope that AI will really pushed us far enough, and we won't care much about those small obstacles from past.

I'm 100% sure that the ones doing it are just a small but very vocal group of rats, sitting behind a cage door with no walls around it and biting everyone who walks nearby, when they could just take one little step outside and be free.
Its maybe a bit harsh, but when people trying to tear apart someone who just missed one mark on their purity checklist - I don't really care.

Omg, why I ever thought about switching from Claude... It's amazing, he drew it with real digital brush without ability to see the result until program executed. Just by figuratively reading books, this model learn to read code and make a "mental image" of what it will draw and it feels very similar to how we can see scenes through imagination when reading books. It's so cool... I'm jealous
