@BillAckman@DougKass best wishes to your daughter and your family as she gets on the road to recovery. nothing matters more than those we hold most dear, children come at the top of that list.
I did read the entirety of the post and agree that certain unscrupulous elements have hijacked comoanies.
@BillAckman@realDonaldTrump@SecScottBessent@pulte or… do like VC’s and let investors contribute up to 20% of the capital for a home purchase. They get paid back on exit/when the property sells. Maybe half goes towards the down payment and half towards the borrower having a smaller mortgage. Lower principal = less interest
@BillAckman@realDonaldTrump actually, they will raise fees in the near term to compensate. Welcome back nuisance fees! oh, and annual fees, esp for poor FICO scores, will proliferate. It will be the 1980’s again before risk-based pricing became a thing
@WhiteHouse econ 101: you’re confusing supply and demand. Price increases for power are driven today by excess demand (holla crypto and AI). Supply isn’t growing fast enough. Large-scale solar with batteries is scalable, safe and renewable. Like a national highway system. Think like FDR
@mcuban and even offering support in someone’s native language for non-native English speakers. It can also replace charts and dashboards, just ask when is my next assignment due, or have I missed any assignments
@mcuban authentic assessment - students have to create things, comment on others submissions, incorporate feedback and update. also, AI can be embraced as a tool to support learning - reframing ideas from your textbook, adjusting reading levels, producing extra real world examples
@chamath nothing stopping you from launching a bank with maximum interest rate of 10% on cards. Hope you have deep pockets or appreciate a very small portfolio of receivables.
@chamath sure, most people would not qualify for credit cards and/or you’ll the re-introduction of annual fees and extra nuisance charges. Credit risk is credit risk, and the risk requires a premium. But as an active investor you should know this. SPAC’ing a neo-bank next?
