You want the young officer to sacrifice his life for the love of the Nation, but you don’t want him to express his love for his fiancée.
In the Army we say ‘Youngster nahi karega, toh kaun karega’.
If you can not find a fault in his professional capabilities, don’t do this nuktachini for such a pure gesture of love and belonging.
Military equipment has been on display during many ‘Know your Army’ exhibitions around the country. The students and non military personnel have clicked pics with it showing pride and love for the Army. So, please don’t bring in the national security angle into this.
Let the young soldier do his national duty with pride and honour 👍

SHAMEFUL CONDUCT BY DELHI POLICE
Last night (11 April), at around 10:00 PM, a serving Brigadier’s family encountered two individuals consuming alcohol inside their car (Regn No. DL3CCY 0789) near their residence in Vasant Enclave.
Upon objecting to this act of illegal public drinking, the situation escalated. The individuals called for additional support, and soon 7–8 more men arrived in multiple vehicles. These men proceeded to assault the Brigadier’s son, causing significant injuries, and also manhandled the Brigadier himself.
Despite a call to the Police Helpline (112) and a PCR vehicle (ZBR39A, Mobile No. 9311923339) being dispatched to the spot, no effective action was taken by the police personnel present. The assault occurred in full view of the PCR van, yet no intervention was made.
Following the incident, the family approached Vasant Vihar Police Station to lodge an FIR. However, their complaint was not registered, and they were also denied immediate medical assistance. Eventually, the injured were taken to the Military Hospital for treatment.
A written complaint has since been submitted, but the lack of timely police action—both at the scene and at the police station—raises serious concerns.
This incident demands urgent attention and accountability. Strict action must be taken against those involved in illegal public drinking, organized assault, and the apparent negligence of duty by the police personnel present.

As you look at the horrific pictures of the bombed Iranian school…
Pause for a minute and think..
Indian Air Force and the Army were given 2 and 7 terror targets respectively to hit on the night of May 6-7 in Op Sindoor…
Each was fully destroyed…
On the morning of May 8, the IAF carried out extensive air defence suppression using long-range kamikaze drones…
On May 9-10 the IAF targeted 14 PAF bases or radar stations/missile batteries…
Destructive evidence of almost all these strikes cane up in satellite pictures…
All strikes were carried out by precision munitions from long distances…
Not one missed aim or strayed to harm civilians… no school, no village or city, no hospitals. None…
This despite not having a fraction of the US military weapons, sensors or surveillance ability…
And in a furiously contested air space against near-peer PAF and its Chinese air defences…
Let’s give credit where due. To our armed forces in this case…
@ShekharGupta Reward for Armed Forces: Disability Pension of soldiers disabled in line of duty will now be taxed. It was exempt since 1922. No country in world does this. #KeepDisabilityPensionTaxFree

Respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, @narendramodi@narendramodi_in@PMOIndia
I write this letter with deep respect and concern regarding the revocation of income-tax exemption for disabled Armed Forces personnel who, despite sustaining disabilities in the line of duty, continue to serve the nation till their retirement.
Our soldiers accept extraordinary risks so that the nation may live in peace. Many suffer permanent disabilities while protecting India’s sovereignty. Yet, instead of opting for premature release, several such brave men and women choose to remain in uniform, contributing their experience, leadership, and operational knowledge to the Armed Forces. Their decision reflects not convenience, but commitment.
The earlier tax exemption was not charity — it was recognition of sacrifice. Revoking this exemption for those who continue to serve sends an unintended but painful message: that perseverance beyond injury is administratively penalised rather than honoured. Ironically, a soldier invalided out receives relief, but one who continues to serve despite disability is denied the same moral and financial consideration.
Importantly, it reinforces the nation’s promise that those injured in its defence will never be left feeling disadvantaged for choosing duty over discharge.
Sir, India prides itself on placing its soldiers first. Restoring income-tax exemption for disabled Armed Forces personnel serving till retirement would reaffirm that principle, boost morale across ranks, and strengthen trust between the nation and its protectors.
I humbly urge your kind intervention to review and reinstate this exemption in the interest of fairness, gratitude, and justice for those who have already paid a price in blood and sacrifice.
Jai Hind ki Sena.
That means all that frivolous litigation being done against Ex-Servicemen by Ministry of Defence is in their honour?
Making old, infirm ex-servicemen and widows run to courts even for well settled law points is cruelty of worst kind.
@HDFC_Bank So convenient…may not be an onroll employee of HDFC but clearly it is an outsourced recovery agency for HDFC correct?
We know how this works so HDFC should quit hiding behind semantics!
Replies on this tweet must have opened eyes of authorities including of @DrJitendraSingh
I as individual, if showcase this incident as an achievement, it makes sense, but if Govt/authorities showcase it like this, it speaks rather "INABILITY" of them.
They should show, how they changed the system & punished the perpetrators, on finding trouble with even one pensioner/veteran suffering due to illogical handling by employees, to stop repeating this treatment to others.
Pls don't make mockery of yours 🙏
Grateful to @DrMallikaNadda Hon’ble @rajnathsingh & Dr Nitin Chandra (Secy, DESW) for their support in addressing the plight of officers Trainees injured during training. Despite agreement & RM’s directive, disability pension still awaits sanction. Request urgent action.

Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta, GOC-in-C, #CentralCommand alongwith Lt Gen DG Misra, #GOC#UttarBharatArea, visited Dharali village in #Uttarkashi to review and coordinate ongoing rescue & relief operations being conducted by Indian Army.
Approx 225 Army personnel have been pressed in rescue operations. Over 150 civilians have been evacuated to safer places. Additional columns have also been mobilised to expedite rescue operations in #Gangotri and Dharali.
#ArmyCdr appreciated the unwavering commitment of the troops and assured the citizens that #IndianArmy in coordination with other agencies and civil authorities, will continue to extend all assistance till such time last survivor is extricated.

Cong upset with SC for questioning Rahul Gandhi's patriotism. Cong says it is not SC's place to dole out certificates of "Indianess."
But when SC in Best Bakery (Guj riots case) spoke of "Modern Day Nero" then Cong used SC label to target Modi.
SELECTIVE AMNESIA?
New trend - Babus after retirement writing books & on pods giving gyan that UPA was corrupt. 15 years ago ‘yoghurt setting in mouth’ when you were living in Chanakya Puri, using sarkari chauffeur driven cars & getting dodgy scholarships for your kids in American unis? Oh puhleez!
