Because I am raising concerns about the flood of unvetted illegal immigrants overwhelming American cities, the press will often characterize me as “anti-immigrant”.

As an immigrant myself, nothing could be further from the truth.

I am very much in favor of increased and expedited legal immigration for anyone who is talented, hard-working and honest.

Very few comedians in the public eye still tell their own jokes.
The others mostly employ writers. They hide the fact Eg on TV they will be listed as ‘Programme Associates’, if they credit them at all.
So when you praise a line of those particular comedians, when it aligns with your political view, you are praising the unseen writer, not the actor reading the script.
Fellow circuit comedians, who also work as writers, have told me that some comedians specifically ask for gags to show their caring side over a particular subject.
To my fellow comedians who still only perform their own material, I salute you for holding the line.
To the rest, you are actors, not comedians and have betrayed everything that our comedy circuit was set up to do.
