Building AI agents for WhatsApp shouldnβt be this hard.
So I built ZapChat - a platform to build, customize, and launch WhatsApp AI agents in minutes.
Add context, connect APIs and more.

You can try out Olly at https://t.co/rhU5RvQiQ6 - Just say hi on iMessage or on WhatsApp
I'll be sharing more about building apps in this space - so follow along if you're interested in learning more about how to create apps like Olly.
More coming soon π
A couple weeks ago, I launched @ollydotmoney - a personal finance assistant on your WhatsApp or iMessage.
It connects to your bank via Plaid, understands your spending, and helps you take control of your money.
What I learned next changed everything π
Messaging apps feel like the next big consumer platform:
β’ Used by billions
β’ Frictionless to adopt
β’ Fast to build on
Companies like @ChroniclerTeam are already riding the wave - backed by @a16z and building directly inside WhatsApp.
@marclou Yes - it's hard bc focusing on $ goals is a more tangible and desired outcome, but that's the lagging indicator.
Gotta focus on the leading indicators that you can control and trust they will eventually take you there
Biggest learning of 1st week post launch:
Putting your product out there changes everything.
While building, it's so easy to get in your own head. You overthink everything, and end up stuck.
Whatever feedback you may get, don't fear it. That's just the start - not the end.
1st week building in public. Only a few new followers but made some cool connections to other builders.
One of the biggest downsides of building a product alone is how lonely it feels.
Chatting in DMs with other founders about our products made this surprisingly better!
@aribk24 I built https://t.co/rhU5RvQiQ6 exactly because of that. You have an AI financial assistant available directly on your whatsapp or iMessage and your financial data is connected via Plaid!
