A private collection located in sunny Wellington, New Zealand. The product of @lizardb0y's obsession, it is looking for a display space in the Wellington area.
@tariusdamon@ID_AA_Carmack I met someone who was hostile to preservation because "we can just make it again. " Why keep anything if we have the ability to recreate it later if we want to?
So, 28 years ago (29 Jan 1996) this happened.
This is George Broussard pointing at my computer that is uploading the shareware version of Duke Nukem 3D to Software Creations for the first time. That was my bag then, uploading shareware episodes of games to Software Creations. This one was a big one, unleashing Duke to the world.
I spot my trusty USRobotics HST modem on the side there, and my super massive CD burner to the side of the monitor still makes me laugh. One of my Dopefish mugs is to the right of the old CompuServe mouse pad.
@Commodork The rated capacity will be at nominal cell voltage, probably 3.7v, and there'll be voltage conversion losses to take into account. Then it's affected by temperature, load and other variables. You'll get less energy delivered at a high discharge rate (e.g. 2A vs 1A). It's messy!

@burgesst @justJaime2020 @thecomputerclan The one with a notch is an IEC C15 plug/C16 socket and must be rated for higher pin temperatures (120°C). The one without the notch is an IEC C13 plug/C14 socket and is rated for 70°C. They're all rated for the same current, and they're all IEC.
@benjedwards My favourite hobby is never getting around to setting up the NTSC-J Dreamcast I picked up last time I was in Japan. And never playing any of the games I bought for it.
