He has reportedly lost several members of his immediate family and they're now threatening him directly.

I don't know anyone with brains who didn't think we'd eventually get here. I made a video a few weeks ago to warn that Nigeria is staring a massive, ugly, messy multi-dimensional civil war in the face if nothing is done to stop the violence against Christians and some thought it was alarmist. But here we are. And rather than do something about it, the regime in power continues to deny, deflect and cover up the genocide.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Save Nigeria Group USA (SNG-USA) stands in deep mourning, utter shock, and absolute condemnation following the gruesome, barbaric murder of Mr. Michael Oyedokun O., a dedicated Mathematics teacher at Community High School, Ahoro-Esinele in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, Nigeria.

Mr. Oyedokun was among the 7 teachers and 39 innocent schoolchildren ruthlessly abducted during a daytime raid on multiple schools on Friday, May 15, 2026. On Sunday, May 17, 2026, his captors—identified as radical Islamist Fulani terrorists—released a horrific Telegram video documenting his forced final words and subsequent beheading. This visual display of unadulterated evil has sent shockwaves through Oyo State, the Southwest region, and the global Nigerian diaspora.

“Nigeria is bleeding from every artery, and the psychological warfare being waged against innocent civilians has reached an intolerable peak,” said Stephen Osemwegie spokesperson for SNG-USA. “Mr. Oyedokun was not a soldier; he was an educator shaping the minds of the next generation. To see him bound, paraded, and brutally slaughtered on camera is a stain on our collective humanity. We extend our deepest, tearful condolences to his family, his traumatized students, and the grieving people of Oyo State.”

A Direct Challenge to Regional Security:
This brazen attack in Southwest Nigeria comes on the heels of heavily publicized air campaign successes by the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) and the Nigerian Army against ISIS-aligned factions within the Lake Chad Basin and the Northeast. While SNG-USA applauds these efforts, this tragedy proves that a purely aerial or localized strategy is insufficient.
The terrorists have adapted, embedding themselves deeply within Nigeria's vast forests. A joint rescue operation by the Nigerian military, the Amotekun Corps, and local vigilantes was tragically disrupted over the weekend when security personnel ran into Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) deliberately planted by the terrorists, resulting in several casualties among the rescue forces. This level of tactical sophistication proves these are not mere “bandits,” but highly coordinated, ideologically driven terrorist militias.

An Urgent Appeal to President Donald Trump and the U.S. Government:
SNG-USA extends its profound gratitude to the United States Government, under the courageous leadership of President Donald Trump, for its steadfast determination to confront the scourge of ISIS and radical Islamic terrorism in Africa. However, we urgently appeal to the Trump administration to extend its critical kinetic and intelligence-sharing operations beyond the Northeast.
The Southwest, once considered a relative safe haven, is now facing the same systemic terror that has ravaged the Middle Belt for years, where Christian farming communities are targeted and slaughtered daily by Islamist Fulani Ethnic Militias. Without immediate, comprehensive international support, the entirety of Nigeria risks completely collapsing into a failed state.

SNG-USA Demands Immediate Action:
1. Extensive Ground Operations: We call on the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Abuja military leadership to initiate an immediate, massive ground sweep of the forest reserves across Oyo, the Middle Belt, and other critical hotspots to flush out these terror cells.

I saw the video of this teacher from Oyo state being beheaded by terrorists in the heart of Yorubaland. I intentionally refused to share it.

Heartbreak at this point is an understatement.

Years ago, while Buhari was still in power, the news broke that these terrorists were pouring into a similar forest reserve in Ogun State. At that time I heard people saying they were already in Oyo. Nothing was done.

And recently, Oba Ganiyu Adams stated on record that these terrorists have literally infiltrated every forest in the southwest, and are ready to strike at any time. Ganiyu Adams is a prominent Yoruba chief. I don’t think anything was done.

How is it that all these signs were there, all these warnings were issued, all the evidence were made publicly available, yet the terrorists were allowed to remain, expand and still carry out their operations with such mind-numbing ease, even in the southwest where the president comes from?

At the rate the terrorists are advancing, I don’t see how they’re not in Lagos say by the end of this year or even earlier.

Imagine if the ruling @OfficialAPCNg was in the opposition at this time. Protests would be everywhere and carried live daily by mainstream media. Whoever the president is would’ve resigned a long time ago, especially if he’s not a puppet of the colonial powers.

It is very simple: if you can’t protect lives and properties, step aside and let someone else do it. Better still, shut down the entire system, declare a state of emergency, suspend every suspendable and let’s reboot this evil, unworkable system. It cannot be sustained as is. I repeat, it cannot be sustained as is.

You dedicate your life to teaching mathematics and building the next generation, only to be abducted and slaughtered.

This is not life!

The primary duty of ANY government is the protection of lives. If a teacher cannot even be safe inside a classroom, then nobody is safe. Security operatives are dying, and citizens are bleeding. We are not angry enough!

We cannot normalise this madness. The government must wipe out these monsters and bring the remaining teachers home alive. My heart bleeds for Mr Oyedokun. He did not deserve this. My deepest condolences go to his family.
