have 2 say btw one of the worst things about being an adult is having to go to the fucken shop. it is relentless. you always need to get something from the shop. every day I am in the shop.
@AngusEverist @CrouchMg@Tracy68154713 @hammerit54 Tbf if abortion was done by someone shoving an AR in my uterus while my fetus was trying to learn how to read, I’d be pretty loud about it
@9_tellthetruth @always_oges @melissagira Polling and other data shows that the women who work against other women the most are white women. Many non-white women face the same barriers and to even greater extents, but they somehow find a way to value other women and mothers enough to overcome. Why don’t more white women?
@LauraJedeed @BeatTheCult This take is so good that I feel a bit guilty for giving my opinion bc it really doesn’t matter what anyone thinks of her, positive or negative. She’s just a person w a body and that’s that ✨
@BeatTheCult Beauty and attraction are also completely subjective, there is no true metric she needs to meet to be seen as worthy or beautiful bc no matter what some ppl will see her that way while others don’t. If you’re on the ‘don’t’ side, that’s fine, but you can just move along quietly
@BeatTheCult She’s pretty and seems like a nice person. So many factors contribute to health and so many of those factors depend on the individual. BMI has been debunked and you can’t know her body fat precentage or frame or weight or athleticism or diet just by looking at her anyway
@billstreeter@AnnAnnChe@HHP90@OrtizGuajillo Yeah, pretty much agreed, although sometimes it does work the other way. Problem is, right wing propaganda is unbelievably good and you gotta meet ppl where they’re at if you want to get them on your side
@dmahoney@HHP90@OrtizGuajillo Maybe I read it differently in tone than others, but it came off to me v much like this person is scolding ppl who just suffered an immense tragedy. I don’t disagree w the facts, but that’s not going to help. Acknowledging “trauma of growing up rural” is so out of touch, too.
@IrrelevancePer1@GrantGinder If I’m understanding you correctly, then it’s kind of the same here imo. Like to me, there really isn’t a difference in “accent” either so I never understand what ppl were on about lol (:
@lanie_andrew @1kyleshorten @OhNoSheTwitnt In my last reply tho, I did explain that even when you DON’T consider school shooters, knowing proper gun safety is not all it takes to ensure a kid won’t point a gun at another kid. Kids point guns at themselves and others all the time, even when they know better
@mathdad78@ryandbusse Spock that relates to this type of stuff, but I’d be interested to hear it (I think I get where you’re coming from as conservatives and liberals tend not to like me either)
@mathdad78@ryandbusse I mean, idk how not to focus on it and I do think it’s humanity’s job to mitigate risk to itself. This risk, specifically, seems to lead to especially tragic events and I think ideally we would avoid as many of those as possible. I might be missing it if there’s a lesson from Mr.
@mathdad78@ryandbusse This is both important in some ways and unimportant in others. Sure, we shouldn’t ignore this data, but when we’re focusing on how to lower the rate of gun-related incidents, this data becomes less important
@lanie_andrew @1kyleshorten @OhNoSheTwitnt You didn’t say any of that previously, you only mentioned that a kid in an ad won’t point a gun at someone bc they were taught proper gun safety. If congresspeople’s Christmas cards have taught us anything, that’s certainly not true, even completely leaving out school shooters
@lanie_andrew @1kyleshorten @OhNoSheTwitnt I’m sure when teenagers walk into schools and shoot 4th graders to death it’s bc they don’t know they shouldn’t point guns at other ppl
The PR work TV has done for cops is wild. SVU would have you believe there's a dedicated team of professionals committed to investigating every rape and not just two dudes with punisher tattoos being like "sounds like a misunderstanding"
