@gooz2774@SleeperMets@JonHeyman Torrens simply is an ineffective offensive player. His OPS+ is 70 which means he is 30% worse than the league average hitter. Alvarez is at 118. It’s not close.
@JeremyVaccaro7@SleeperMets@JonHeyman couldn’t disagree more. The guy while underperforming is still decent offensively, is only 24 and is under team control for another two years. Plus they have nothing in the system to replace him. And Torrens, while excellent defensively, gets exposed not offensively.
@garyemerson823@SleeperMets He has gotten enough at bats to show if he has the requisite pitch recognition and discipline to hit at MLB level. He doesn’t.
@rbak619@WFAN660@EvanRobertsWFAN Can’t look at DeGrom without mentioning his $40 million + salary. Huge overpay for a guy that’s not nearly the pitcher he was on the Mets.
@MrTioben @SleeperMets@SleeperTigers@DanBartels2 Really? Laugh all you want but I wouldn’t do it on the Mets side. The Tigers would be lucky to get that return for a half year of a guy they can’t re-sign who is coming off an in season injury.
@SleeperMets@SleeperTigers@DanBartels2 Okay - why would the Mets who have little chance of contending this year trade all of their top prospects for half a year of a guy coming off an in season injury ? Insane proposal.
@Ben_Yoel@MJS_in_CHI It’s absolutely fair game to criticize the Polanco. The guy had a history of injuries and was a big overpay. Could they have signed the way more durable and valuable Alonso is they were willing to go three years? Maybe.
@MaddBochinche@WFAN660@craigcartonlive Exactly. Sound like the anti-Judge Yankee fans. BTW - we would take Judge off your hands if you don’t want him anymore 😂
@sal_licata Talk about click bait. This guy is the worst - I thought Peralta got hurt. Instead, this idiot - is moaning about our No 5 starter. not being up to snuff. He must have run out of things to complain about. 🙄
