@MegMcGrath25 @MtimmonsTimmons Unfortunately this is too true. Our healthcare system will tend to cover the costs of the outcomes, which tend to be more expensive, but not the medications that help to prevent these outcomes. #PHARM4420
Our government-provided healthcare system tends to be more reactive in what they cover. It would be interesting to see how much money and time could be saved by having a more proactive healthcare system. #PHARM4420
The Canadian government is proud to offer all citizens with βfreeβ healthcare. However, individuals are paying out of pocket for dental care, eye care, medications and more. Is this not considered healthcare? #PHARM4420
@HillaryRandell1 I agree Hillary, expanding the scope to include treatment for uncomplicated UTI's and contraception management will allow access to care in a more timely manner to a greater population of women across our province. #PHARM4420
@MegMcGrath25#PHAR4420 I agree! Pharmacist-led clinics will play a major role in healthcare in more rural areas of our province. Many communities have pharmacies in their respective area but cannot say the same when it comes to a health clinic.
#PHARM4420 Involving more pharmacist-led clinics in Canada can help ensure continuity of care. With primary access to healthcare becoming more difficult, incorporating more pharmacist-led clinics can help to bridge the gap and provide more timely and appropriate access to care.
