I don't know who needs to hear this, but there's a Youtube channel called Shakespeare Network which not only has many Shakespeare productions (original & some other languages) but also has Verdi's operas based on Shakespeare, ancient Greek plays, the plays of Ibsen & Chekhov...

you must believe you are special and then go so hard, for so long, with such violent refusal to accept any other ending, that reality itself starts running out of ways to tell you no. you must wage a war daily against the ordinary outcome, until the belief you invented out of nothing in a room by yourself has been hammered into the world so many times that it stops being a claim and becomes reality.
your relationship with discipline changes so much when you shift from doing things from love rather than shame. from 'i have to clean'- to realizing i deserve to have a clean home. from 'i need to work out'- to i deserve to have a healthy body. you deserve the best from yourself
Have been digesting Akwaeke’s “Dear Senthuran” slowly, because it is so accurately on time.
“part of the rigor is staying, showing up for the work regardless of the conditions. This is ritual, religion, sacrifice, magic—this is the spell.
the spell is clear: face your work.”
Someone said “The slow burn of becoming yourself” and I think that might be one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. It’s such a good reminder of how much it takes, how much character development, how much change, and beauty and courage it takes to reach your soul and I hope no one ever gives up on becoming themselves because it’s a never ending journey that only gets better.
a cada 6 meses eu assisto closer só pra voltar a sofrer pois esse filme foi o único que consegue retratar fielmente a minha vida e as relações que eu me meto
ever since i was a little girl i knew i wanted to deny location sharing and turn off personalized ads and reject all non-essential cookies and not set up siri and face ID
you can literally wake up one day and be like “actually, fuck everything ab my past and the self-sabotaging identity i had” and decide to live an entirely new life and be someone who always fucking wins. it doesn’t take a feeling or breakthrough moment or epiphany. only a decision.
YOU MUST BREAK THE PATTERN
Soul over body. Believe in your higher self. Pray for strength. Never give up. Remain hopeful no matter what. Self-aware. Turn on Observer Mode. Defeat the urges. Be above your emotions. You’re in control. Control your feeling state. Temptations become laughable. Challenges elevate your soul.
The reason why you repeat the same mistakes is because you’re too scared to change.
Your past self wants to remain where it already is, so there’s no need to start something new and choose the path of courage.
At some point in your life, there will be a moment when you feel very uncomfortable in the places that brought you the most comfort.
Most people are so drowned in their own misery that when this moment knocks on their door, they do everything to ignore it.
If you choose the path of bettering your life to its highest potential, instead of degrading your soul by watching TV with the lights turned off - that means you’re part of the 10% that came here to fulfill their purpose.
This is the turning point for the life that you’ve always wanted. From now on, opportunities will find you themselves, and all you’ll need to do is use less than half of the effort that was required to leave your past life behind.
Because your new life will make you stronger, wiser, and more fulfilled.
every few months I watch this BBC series created by John Berger, based on his book. Some works are meant to be revisited until it becomes a part of you.
