@EddieComeaux@KingJames@HBO@USATODAY I like how James is taking a stand and speaking up for not only himself but others experiencing the same issue. He mentions in his documentary that the NCAA is corrupt and didn't mind if his comment made headlines.Maybe by him speaking up it will make NCAA change rules #Athletics
@MaaaarisollM @dcmireles Hi Marisol, I agree that universities should take the time to help transition college athletes for the future if they aren't going to go pro in the sport they are in.
Athletes that are not going Pro are having a hard time leaving playing sports they have been playing their whole life&to have to say https://t.co/dqQnwZRlEo one prepared them to say goodbye and start a new life without it.

NCAA is keeping the money made off the athletes name, image, and etc. The athlete has no right to claim any of this money. On top of that they are not even getting paid to play. Is this truly fair to the athlete? #UCR50 @dcmireles
@chloedjenkins @dcmireles Wow! I was unaware that most athletes sign not to accept gifts from family or other people.I think that they should make athletes more away of what they are signing and explain everything to them since this is probably the first important thing they have ever signed.
@SoniaMonroy15 @dcmireles Hi Sonia you make a great point! schools that violate Title IX should be punished not just by losing their funds but adding another punishment on top of this to decrease the universities that are chosing not to follow this.
Cheerleading is not considered a sport because it does not met the goverance structure. Why is that cheerleding does not have a governing organization?

@acarr041UCR @dcmireles I agree with you! The athletic department should be doing more and helping cross- racial experiences among the athletics. Thank you for sharing the video. I found it to be very helpful.
Minority coaches particually Blacks remain underrepresented when it comes to being head coaches in the top tier in college football. Shouldn't they look past their skin color and look to see if they will be a good candiate for the job? @dcmireles https://t.co/X54r3YVPqw #UCR50
@fvall003 @dcmireles I thought this was really interesting. Coaches make winning their first priority and even have their players switch to easier majors to make sure they are eligible to play games.
In this artice it talks about how most students do care about education but say they don't because they do not want their teammates to make fun of them. Coaches also have their players change to an easier major to make sure they pass their classes. https://t.co/rUfrIWNbGp #UCR50
Why is it that Universities could afford to pay coaches crazy amounts of money yearly and pay pro players but do not want to pay college athletics? Isn't the same thing? #UCR50
@nmcdo001 @dcmireles I loved the image that you used for this. I didn't think what a college athletic has to do in order to get an education. I believe that they should get paid money on the side since they have that extra money. Why not pay them right?
@Karengosorio I totally agree with you! I was so surprised on how much coaches make. It is just crazy! I also read that coaches have the highest paying salaries in the country.
@marychuy1329 @dcmireles I completely agree with you. I still can't believe how much they pay athletics and that is suppose to double in a few years. The cost for tuition for non athletics will also rise
