Lokesh Kanagaraj plays a low-level criminal named Devadas. Wamiqa Gabbi plays a sex worker named Chandra. They are both sad, troubled souls who are meant for each other. But a determined cop is on their tail, and what follows is a series of bloody and beautiful action set pieces.

What the film lacks in emotional heft, it more than makes up for with filmmaking craft, which is fantastic. Oh, and Anirudh totally reinvents himself.
