Fantastic approach to policy making

This is community-led politics!

This week we held our first policy committee meeting, bringing together a group of volunteers with a range of backgrounds and expertise.

It was a hot night in Leongatha so we held it outside!

We analysed the community feedback gathered through surveys, kitchen table conversations, politics in the pub events and doorknocking

We identified key issues and themes and began to formulate evidence-based policies that reflect the priorities of the community.

Policies should be formed by the people, not by party bosses who don’t understand our community and the challenges we face.

This is a better way of doing politics.
