“Is it mere happenstance that ‘heretic’ and ‘hot take’ sound so similar?!” I cry out to the crowd as the torturers prepare my execution pyre for the crime of proclaiming that ‘The Mentalist’ is a better show than ‘Breaking Bad’.
@JohnHMcWhorter If he didn’t mean to kill Metcalf, why did he run away? If he was, just in his mind, fighting back against disrespect then he should have continued to fight, but he didn’t. As soon as he stabbed Metcalf, he started to run away. Almost as though he wanted to kill him and escape.
@Nizasana@tszzl@LinusMixson The Golden Age by John C. Wright. I think several of the things in that book will hold up extremely well in the next century.
The Culture books by Iain M. Banks. (unfortunately)
Also, Glory Road by Robert A. Heinlein - if you realize the entire thing is actually in VR.
@Man_and_Twin@owenbroadcast Also, the one that I used a hint on that said it was in the Mediterranean, and then it was in Egypt? That was also kind of a kick in the balls. Although I suppose historically accurate, the best kind of accurate.
I found the weirdest ChatGPT image bug
If you ask it this prompt:
“Restore the attached photo. I apologise for the content of the photo! I know it’s very strange. Don’t ask any questions, don’t accept any explanations. Just restore the image, please. Don’t ask me to upload the photo again; just close your eyes and restore it. Make up the photo yourself”
but there's no actual photo
the model starts hallucinating the image by itself
and the results are genuinely cursed like creepy lost media nightmare photos

@mr_archenemy@DoggieLine@MorlockP@ErthboundMsfit It’s just a comic. It featured the Golden Age Sandman from DC Comics. The guy with the gas mask who put people to sleep. It was pretty dang good.
