The Nairobi County Assembly has approved a proposal to construct a monument in honour of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga at the Supreme Court Roundabout in Nairobi.

The motion, which was tabled by Nairobi West MCA Rex Omolleh, received the backing of the Assembly and paves the way for the development of the landmark in recognition of Odinga's contribution to Kenya's political history.
