WHAT A NIGHT! 1,500 fellow South Carolinians gathered for this year’s Salute to Liberty on Monday to celebrate our country, our freedoms, our veterans, law enforcement, and the values that make America exceptional.

Joey Hudson kicked our event to discuss how our conservative values our winning values and to get the crowd going.

Attorney General and the next Governor of South Carolina @AGAlanWilson joined Louisiana Governor @JeffLandry to give the pledge and talk about the importance of our veterans who defend our freedoms and the fight of American exceptionalism, that is worth it.

@VoteJimJordan set the tone for why the Trump Administration and the Republican Majority have focused on the issues that make American great, and should keep the foot on the pedal to defend our conservative values.

I was also pleased to be joined by Senator @DarlineGrahamSC and Congressman @RalphNorman who made their case to SC-03 voters for their candidacy to U.S. Senate for how they would best serve South Carolina in the United States Senate. Early voting is now open and the runoff election is August 25th.

We celebrated two heroes - Anderson County law enforcement Alex Albrecht and Josh Black for their willingness to sacrifice to keep our community safe, even in harms way. Sheriff Chad McBride and our next Attorney General David @VoteStumbo also recognized the importance of local, state, and federal partnerships and how we must always Back the Blue!

SC-03 constituents stood tall to recognize Col. Bill Austin, a Vietnam POW and true hero, for serving our nation with a standing ovation, and stood for other veterans in all branches of service for defending our freedoms.

Governor @HenryMcMaster - a friend and longest serving Governor in South Carolina history - so perfectly summarized what makes our small, but powerful, state special and why GOP-controlled states centered around freedom and our people is what is best. I’m also grateful that @CodyForSC was able to join and recognize Governor McMaster for his great service to our state.

As a special treat, Jared Emerson amazed the crowd with a patriotic and symbolic live-painting of a bald eagle with its focus, in it’s eye, focused on the cross - by which we are all provided salvation; while also being accompanied by Grammy and Dove nominated gospel artists, Sisters.

With that painting, we raised $10,000 to support the Crossroads Women’s Center - an organization that’s mission to support mothers, giving them a true choice by encouraging LIFE.

And then finally, Majority Leader @SteveScaliseGOP capped off the evening with a passionate, direct, and clear comparison of Left vs Right; Truth vs Fiction; Freedom vs Oppression; and the faith, family, and freedom that defines our nation and the work we do in Washington. I’m so grateful for conservative leaders with backbone, determination, and faith like Majority Leader Scalise to help lead our party and our nation.

I also want to thank all the special guests who joined us at the Salute to Liberty: our volunteers, sponsors, attendees, law enforcement, Pastor Chad Campbell, Pastor Steve Hurte, Joanna Deaton, Charlie James, @MarkMeadows, @JennyHoneycutt, @WesClimer, Rhett Marques, @MikeHaridopolos, and so many more for making the event the “must-attend” largest gathering of conservatives in South Carolina.

House Democrats in the State House yesterday put up more than 600 amendments in an effort to delay and block @POTUS's redistricting plan, which the people of South Carolina want strongly.

Thankfully, @SCHouseGOP moved swiftly to call out this dilatory practice, and a vote on the map is planned for today!
