Now time to see how how it will take to receive the retroactive pay from the day the bill was signed

Florida’s unemployment benefits process says anyone who lost their job since March 9 will receive retroactive payments, regardless of when their application was successfully submitted

The $600 federal portion is to be issued by a check / card via mail separate from state funds

4 weeks later the application finally approved. Payment to be deposited soon it says

What is unclear now is:

1) whether payments will include the 4 weeks from the start of the job loss

2) when the $600 CARES money will be distributed

@Mevsnormal Regardless of the cause, I was relieved that I could finally explain that her classroom behavior was a result of her medical condition and teachers had to help her instead of punish her. The teachers seemed relieved too because there is little they can do w/out a doctors note

@Mevsnormal We did testing with a vision specialist to get her medical accommodations like extra time on assignments. I would have never linked her attention problems w/out the help of our eye doctor I also found out lazy eye runs in my family after talking to family members

Kind of depressing reminder that it’s been 4 weeks with no income and unemployment benefits are still pending
