MoonPay is quietly becoming the standard for Crypto Cards
Four of the more interesting ones already use it:
> @ether_fi: full payments stack (Oct 2026). Headless ramps, cross-chain swaps, virtual accounts (ACH, SEPA, Fedwire, etc.), and crypto deposits. Uses one KYC for both products
> @xplaceapp: MoonPay buy/sell (cards, Apple Pay, bank transfers) since Dec 2025 + Virtual Accounts since Apr 2026. Named accounts so bank deposits (ACH/SEPA Instant) convert straight to stables.
> @usemotocard: Virtual Accounts (Apr 2026). Dedicated named deposit accounts (ACH, Fedwire, SEPA Instant) to fund the card collateral.
> @avici : Virtual Accounts (Jan 2026). Named USD/EUR accounts. Fiat in via ACH, SEPA Instant, or direct deposit converts to USDC in the self-custodial wallet.
The pattern is the same. Each card starts using @moonpay, so clients get:
- more trusted and faster on/offramps
- Virtual accounts, so you can use it with banks too
- no need to re-KYC
- wider crypto deposits
$0 vs $999/year
Is EtherFi (@ether_fi) Pinnacle worth it?
What you get with Core ($0) tier:
- 3% cashback up to $2K/mo spend
- 1 free virtual card (physical = $60)
- 5% back on EtherFi Travel
- 0 fees
What you get with Pinnacle ($999) tier:
- Everything in Core
- 3% cashback up to $50K/mo
- Unlimited airport lounge access (100% cashback, up to $49/day, effectively free)
- 20% cashback on one subscription category (AI, Streaming, Food, etc.) up to $20/mo
- 10 free virtual cards + free black metal card
- Exclusive events + airport fast track (coming Q4)
Real rewards if you max it:
- Core: ~$720/year (cashback only)
- Pinnacle: ~$18K cashback + $240 subscriptions + ~$1,200 lounges ≈ $19,400+/year
For high spenders who actually use the lounges and extra perks, Pinnacle can return ~20x the fee
For most people, Core is plenty. You only need Pinnacle if you’re spending serious money every month
2 big updates from Pulsar this week
Both make the same balance more useful:
1. Perps
Pulsar is partnering with @extendedapp to bring perps inside the app.
What that means:
- open and manage positions without leaving the app
- no second account, no bridging
- positions settle back to the same Pulsar balance you already use for the card
2. Earnings
Pulsar teased Earning on your balance "while you enjoy your morning cup." (from their last tweet)
What that likely means:
- continuous yield on the balance you hold (similar to @EthenaPay)
- no need to move funds into a separate vault or stake them
- you can spend and still earn on the remaining balance
- current Earn is ~5.2% APY, so the new version is probably in a similar range
Neither is live yet, but both should land soon.
@0xDani not the worst choice in terms of fees on noKYC cards. But I find a bit suspicious, that they store IP and lots of other data. And I also see it not for the first time, that noKYC cards support only Google Pay, wonder why?
@0xVishnya $5B valuation is insane. Wouldn't invest in it at this point. More and more people are shifting to alternatives (EtherFi, Plasma, etc.), so it's probably not the best choice in long-term investing at least
@Vanxyrus@EthenaPay The 5% is a really insane number. Many online shops offer a 5% discount only on special days, but Ethena Pay offers it literally for every purchase
@0xPumbi@KASTxyz I feel like their card is kinda outdated. I mean, in a time when cards like EtherFi offer you 3% cashback on the free tier without charging you anything, KAST seems outdated with its high fees and low cashback. That criticism is fair
@eaglexcards as I already stated in quote of this tweet, it could be an interesting choice for big spenders, at least because of spending limits. But for an average person with under $1M portfolio - no, just no need
$10,000/year for a crypto card
That's what you pay for KAST Private, the most expensive crypto card subscription. Does it pay off?
What you get for that money:
- 3% cashback
- $40k/mo eligible-spend cap (max $1.2k cashback/mo)
- Promotional 12% APY on first $200k (until July 1, 2027)
- 1 free plated gold card
- 2 free cards from other tiers
- Visa Infinite
- VIP concierge
- VIP event access
What those last three actually mean:
> Visa Infinite (Visa's highest tier, activated via Visa Benefits portal):
- Travel insurance: accident coverage up to $1.5M, trip cancellation/delay up to $500, lost baggage up to $3k, etc.
- Purchase protection: coverage for theft up to $10k, extended warranty, price protection
- Lifestyle: Visa's concierge for planning, Luxury Hotel Collection (with special rates), discounted airport lounge access
> VIP Concierge: priority support from KAST team. Many questions can be solved through this
> VIP event access: invite-only access to KAST events. The last ones happened at Token2049:
- Solid Gold Party & Solid Gold Table (Oct. 8)
- Amber Lounge (Oct. 11-13)
- VIP airport pickups (Oct. 7-9)
The card's math works only with a high spend/hold. More importantly, it gives you access to events where you can network with smart people. That's where you really benefit from it
@monetirocards The caps are from T&Cs. I mean it's kinda hard to really test that cap, cause you need to spend really much to get to it. In such cases it's probably better to ask support about it
Most crypto cards will decline a large purchase even if the balance is there
KAST is one of the few that doesn’t put a written daily or monthly limit on card spending. You can spend up to whatever you hold. Sure, large transactions can still get flagged for compliance checks, but the absence of a written cap is real
Even Revolut’s crypto card caps you at $100k per transaction
The only other cards I found with similarly high caps are:
- @useTria: $1M daily limit, no monthly cap
- @SolidYield: $750k per transaction
- @RedotPay: $100k per transaction, $1M per day
For someone who regularly needs to put six-figure amounts through a card, there aren't many options. That's a reason a high spender might decide the $10k/year @KASTxyz Private subscription is worth it, even if the other perks don’t fully justify the price on their own

@KASTxyz@pudgypenguins@LilPudgys That physical feeling of owning is just much better. Always prefer that, especially when it's a cute Pengu-styled card
