In the era of JS dev stacks it's not often I'm not prescribed tooling for client work. So it was a very nice change of sceneray to get to do a prototytpe on @rails again. The kids today don't know how we good had it. Rails just works, with proper logging and tooling and and🫡

Ben Janecke is giving a talk live streamed tonight at 18h30 CAT titled: "We used to do some things in React. Now we do some other things. We still do some of the same things though. Let's take a look at some of the things that in my experience." https://t.co/gGTFZzUIhc
My db devs friends what's your take on a shared db migration dependency model for tooling that must effect changes to the db? In my current project we have DBT and Lambdas (Python) doing their own thing. I'm considering making migrations a shared upstream dependency in CI/CD.
Been piloting Database Lab Engine for our CI/CD pipeline to provision rapid @PostgreSQL DB clones. So far super impressed, cloning a 36Gb DB took 2.11seconds🚀@Database_Lab
Managed to get Database Lab Engine from https://t.co/2N8Pj8sA0v up and running on @awscloud today syncing Aurora Postgres Db's. We are busy fleshing out a long term CI/CD strategy for DWH rerleases and it's looking very promising on allot of fronts https://t.co/YhwkhWis1G 👍
"Client login timeout" - I ran into this little gem today trying to resolve 401 errors using @awscloud ALB authentication with Cognito + self hosted UI. Users hitting the login screen who don't login within 15 mins get 401 error.
I really love Rob Pike's 5 Rules of Programming, specially Rule 2.
"Measure. Don't tune for speed until you've measured, and even then don't unless one part of the code overwhelms the rest."

@awscloud@AWSredshift Not all analytics need to be long lived and having a pipeline(s) setup that can accomodate ad-hoc analysis at scale opens the door to running modelling in a cost effective manner!
