Finding myself going back to RSS/Atom feeds a lot more recently. There's a lot more higher quality longform and a lot less slop intended to provoke. Any product that happens to look a bit different today but that has fundamentally the same incentive structures will eventually converge to the same black hole at the center of gravity well.

We should bring back RSS - it's open, pervasive, hackable.

I am a big fan of closing the US land borders to un-controlled immigration. As a refugee who came here legally, I think this is a return to normalcy. Unfortunately, my brother got caught in the blast radius of the current policies -- his wife, who is Ukrainian, got denied entry. They were married in Las Vegas and they have 2 small children who are US citizens. He is a small business owner who ran a Yoga studio near Las Vegas and he needs to be in the US physically to make a living. They can’t go to Ukraine because her hometown is close to the front line.
