@1GamewithDave1 Jane's Advanced Tactical Fighter, DOS combat flight sim, 1996.
Computers got so much faster from 1990 to 2005, I get that online gaming and smartphones came after, but I would have split it by 1997/98 when cable internet got popular versus paying $25/mo for unlimited dial-up.
@syyhlxx@GenFlynn@MarioNawfal@timburchett We know that with the best tech we have, we can't reach our nearest neighboring star without a fuel tank the size of our moon and taking several lifetimes. The energy density is extreme.
For ET to come here: They don't need our resources or humans. They already have abundance.
@JoeCal422@GenFlynn@MarioNawfal@timburchett Such programs will be unacknowledged special access programs, kept secret under the guise of "national security," and they won't even brief the President's or any Generals.
We put more money into our military than the next several allies combined. Where's the money going?
@MusicAndTruth@GenFlynn@MarioNawfal@timburchett Actually, less is more, a government and military wuth advanced knowledge of a fake or legitimate attack could use it to further a narrative on the population. In fact, the fewer people who know, the better. Coming off as caught off guard = NSA's role prior to 9/11/2001.
@The_Astral_ Semantics and Occam's Razor applies here. What is proof? How do we determine authenticity? Assumption and jumpped conclusions shouldn't be part of the equation. It's easy to demand, but we don't have a need to know. Even a creature can be created here on Earth.
@SenSanders To be honest, AI can work for each of us if we get into local AI systems. You dont need a supercomputer. The goal should be to pull yourself away from cloud services that billionaires benefit from. There's several models that work with PC < $1000.
@Traveler03Truth@BristolPistolSr I think it comes down to education.
Going by my observation: 30% of my high school went on to college, 60% of graduated college, 9% chose engineering, and 9% of them chose aerospace. This suggests 1:1000 know with certainty the details to separate UAP from everything else.
@CuriosityonX If creatures are advanced enough to cross the vastness of space with technology that make our best look like we're caveman, then chances are they've biologically evolved to telepathically read everyone's mind before they step foot on Earth. They don't need our representation.
@aptera_motors Honestly, I'm biased due to this heatwave, and San Diego lacks weather variety: I hate the sun.
That may seem like a conflict of interest with my interest in Aptera, but the aerodynamic shape means it'll have the lowest charging bill of any other EV, except e-bikes.
@Kekius_Sage Stars move relative to us over time. Anyone with a telescope, the right equipment, and patience will notice. Why it's moving, where it's going, are philosophical questions, and I dont really care.
@JonStewartIL Whoever they are should wait with a teaser. The speed there are corporations, and their reach will find them. It better not be something dumb like office romances.
@UAPWatchers The problem, imo, is that many on both sides jump to conclusions via "absence of evidence is evidence of absence". On the scientific side, they want proof but aren't looking for it, on the believer side, anything counts lacking education and the media makes fun of the ignorant.
@The_Astral_ Depends on what hype people want from war, science, philosophy, etc.
Depends on what plan those keeping the secrets have, no doubt they will benefit from disclosure before we do. This isn't some rogue group that's got dirt on every country to stay secret.
@JonStewartIL Keyword: full disclosure. Here's the sad thing, Some folks just want their narratives confirmed, they aren't looking for info that conflicts. More than likely, buried secrets could attack anyone's belief systems. Someone who wants the real truth shouldn't be so comfortable.
@UAPReportingCnt No. Trump is too high on himself to be selfless, more than likely, whatever the topic should be, he'll stray and have resentful rants.
@aptera_motors I like sleek and clean looks in general, frankly, except for the disabled who carry their scooters, external bike racks are efficiency killers and some folks don't understand the science of adding external things.
