Mohammed Amin has won One World Media's prestigious #Journalist of the Year award for his reporting as a freelance correspondent for Middle East Eye from #Sudan .

Amin was unable to attend the #London awards ceremony in person on Wednesday night after the Home Office refused to grant him a visa to travel to the #UK .

Accepting the award by video, the #Sudanese journalist said: "One of the #discriminatory things the Home Office told me was that 1 might not leave the country, meaning that I might seek asylum here.

"I would like to say here that the Sudanese are not a heavy burden in this world. We are equal partners in #humanity ."

لفهم دوامات العنف الجنسي في السودان، لا بد من النظر الي إرث الدولة السودانية وكيف يسهم هذا الإرث في التعامل مع أجساد النساء كأدوات لهزيمة المجتمعات المحلية. حيث يتجذر العنف الجنسي في صراع السلطة فى السودان ، مما يفاقم من الصدمة و الغضب والعسكرة والانتقام. النتيجة استمرار التجنيد وضعف الانفاق فى التعليم و التدريب المهني وتدفق الأسلحة غير المنضبط إلى بلدٍ أهمل طويلاً تسريح الجنود وإصلاح القطاع الأمني.

One World #Media has announced that Sudanese #journalist Mohammed Amin has been shortlisted as one of the top three #Journalists of the Year for 2026. Amin reached this stage after a competitive selection process involving more than a hundred journalists from around the #world , who submitted impactful reports on events and issues affecting the #Global South. The first-place winner is scheduled to be announced on June 17 this year.

من keyword search بسيط، وصلنا ��ـ agentic RAG.
الـ AI صار يفهم نيّتك، يقرا مستنداتك، وبعدها صار agent يتصرف لحاله.

علقت بمخي إنها لخّصت ١٥ سنة تطوّر بحث في ٨ دقايق وبشكل واضح يفهمه أي أحد.

أي فيديو تعليمي زي هذا يمر على ترجمان ويطلع بالعربي مرتّب.

زي النهارده من تلات سنين بالضبط، شفت حوار على تلفزيون الاشتراكي لباحثة وكاتبة سودانية شابة اسمها مزن النيل، أعجبت بكلامها المهم والصادق واللي ساعدني أفهم بعض ما يحدث في السودان الحبيب واللي كنا بننظر لتجربته بإعجاب ومحبة، ثم أدمى قلوبنا ما جرى ل�� وفيه، اتصلت بالصديق حسام هلالي وطلبت منه يوصلني بيها، وتواصلت معاها وطلبت استضافتها على قناتي لعل ما أطرحه من أسئلة يساعد متابعي القناة على فهم ما يجري في السودان بعيون حد متخصص ومقيم في السودان، ولما سألتها عن الوقت المناسب لإجراء الحوار كتبت: "ممكن العصر بتوقيت الخرطوم، ده أقل وقت بيكون في أصوات قصف وبرضو بيكون في شوية ضو لو الكهربا قطعت"، وصعقني الرد العادي وخلاني أفهم خطورة الوضع، ومع إني عادة ما بابعتش الأسئلة للي هاحاوره عشان يكون الحوار في عفوية، لكني بعثت لها الأسئلة بالتفصيل لإنها قالت لي إن خطورة الوضع هتخليها متوترة وهي بتتكلم فممكن ما تركزش مع تعالي أصوات القصف، واتربكت واعتذرت لها لإني أصلا باطلب منها حوار في ظروف زي دي لإني ما كنتش متخيل الحالة بهذا الشكل، وتشجعت لما لقيتها مهتمة ��وصل صوتها لناس كتير خصوصا في مصر حست إنهم فاهمين الوضع بشكل أدى لردود أفعال خاطئة، وعملنا الحوار وكانت مزن النيل كعادتها رائعة وصادقة وكلامها موزون، وتشرفت بحواري معاها وكسبتها صديقة افتراضية، أطمئن عليها بعد ما اضطرت للخروج من الخرطوم وراحت بورسودان أو على رأيها في رسالة "بنحاول نتحرك نحو المستقبل"، وهي محاولات لم يكن أحد من أهل السودان ومحبيه يتصور أنها ستكون بهذه الصعوبة والخطورة.
من كذا شهر بعثت لي مزن النيل رسالة متوسمة خيرا في أرشيفي وقالت لي: "بافتش على أرشيف مجلتين مصريات اسمهم القلم والرسالة، حسب كلام أبوي، جدي محمد أحمد النيل نشر فيهم مقالات رب��ا في الخمسينات أو الستينات، وبنحاول نلاقي مقالاته هدية لعيد ميلاد بابا لا أخفيك سرا، لقينا أرشيف الرسالة أونلاين لكن ما لقينا المقالات، أما ��جلة القلم فما لقينا أي ذكر ليها". بدا لي إن الرسالة اللطيفة فيها محاولة تعايش مع صعوبة المستقبل اللي بيبعد أكتر كل شوية، وبدا لي كمان جانب جميل من روح مزن اللطيفة ومن ميراثها الأسري الجميل، وحاولت أساعد في تحقيق طلبها لكن لما فشلنا في العثور على المقالات نسيت أسألها جابت إيه هدية لعيد ميلاد باباها، ومن كام أسبوع قابلت باحث سوداني صديق والكلام جاب بعضه فافتكرت طلب مزن وسألته عن الموضوع، فوعدني بالرجوع لأرشيف جامعة برينستون وقلت يعني هيبقى جميل لو لقاها قبل عيد ميلاد باباها الجاي.
النهارده صحيت على خبر رحيل مزن النيل الفاجع فتذكرت سؤال سيد حجاب المؤلم والمتك��ر: "الحزن في القلب ياه.. لابِد ما بيفوته.. أحسن ولاد الحياة ليه بدري بيموتوا؟".
ألف رحمة ونور عليكي يا مزن النيل يا جميلة، وربنا يصلح حال السودان ويعجل لأهله بالخلاص، ويجمعك بجدك في جنة الخلد ويصبر أهلك وحبايبك على هذا الفراق الأليم.

.@WHO has verified yet another attack on health care in #Sudan. This time, Al Deain Teaching Hospital in East Darfur’s capital, Al Deain, was struck, killing at least 64 people, including 13 children, two female nurses, one male doctor, and multiple patients.

As a result of this tragedy, the total number of fatalities linked to attacks on health facilities during Sudan’s war has now surpassed 2000. Over the nearly three-year conflict, WHO has confirmed that 2036 people have been killed in 213 attacks on health care, including Friday night’s strike in Al Deain.

This latest attack also injured 89 people, including eight health staff, and damaged the hospital’s pediatric, maternity, and emergency departments. In total, more than 720 people have been injured in attacks on health care during the war to date.

Beyond the devastating human toll, attacks on health care have immediate and long-term consequences for communities already in desperate need of both emergency and routine medical services.

Al Deain Teaching Hospital is currently non-functional due to the extensive damage caused by the attack, resulting in a critical interruption of essential medical services.

WHO is supporting local health partners to help fill urgent gaps by scaling up capacity at other health facilities. This includes strengthening primary health care services to provide outpatient, pediatric, and obstetric care; increasing capacity to treat the injured; and deploying trauma care supplies and essential medicines.

Enough blood has been spilled. Enough suffering has been inflicted. The time has come to de-escalate the conflict in Sudan and ensure the protection of civilians, health workers, and humanitarians.

Health care should never be a target. Peace is the best medicine.
