The Pakistani government has challenged a supreme court order to move Imran Khan, Pakistan’s former prime minister and World Cup-winning cricket captain, to a private hospital.

In its petition, the government said moving a felon to a private hospital based “on a report which does not disclose any condition requiring immediate medical treatment will severely disturb the whole criminal justice system”.
