@robinhanson@is_OwenLewis Maybe bro needs some coin & pulling out the PHD & NASA card. At same time we want it to be real. Theoretically possible, though net usable energy remains contested. Sonny seems like a odd mix of visionary and "crank light" (emDrive). GL to Scout and @timdraper. Fun asymmetric bet
@jeremiahscholl@niccruzpatane Right. And you made an interesting point. However, it might need some weighting? There are degrees of wrong and right. Overall vision is the correct approach and the defensive equivocation ignores the derision and mockery that was endured by β group consensusβ.
@gfodor@paulg@elonmusk It is a dodge and also not that strange. All the big accounts (and egos) on X and everywhere online dodge harder questions. Elon included. I also used to hold PG in higher regard as a truth teller but have been consistently disappointed. Mostly honest but only when convenient
@paulg Not sure if it's an earnest question or a shower thought. That said, any serious attempt to agree on morals needs a a shared ethical framework. These object level questions ultimately have different answers if you talking utilitarianism, deontology or virtue ethics etc
@scottastevenson@daltonc If one could consistently generate negative alpha, would it not be the case that inverting the trade would generate positive alpha? (If we ignore slippage and fees)
@IndividualPhoto@BristolAirport@swissportNews I'm in the same boat! Did you ever get it resolved? I'm at the airport but can't get to anyone at Swissport as no one answers the phone. Frustrating thing is my luggage has an Apple Tag so can see exactly where it is yet can't get to it.
