@museumbw @BrentfordFC As you can read, "T" Bayne (actually John Bayne) and G Turner, cannot play for Brentford again, unless consent is given by the FA! This, along with a few others, was one of the reasons why @BrentfordFC turned professional soon after these charges were made against them!

@museumbw @BrentfordFC Putting a name to a player who made 14 appearances for the Bees during 1898/99 and 1899/1900. He appeared with John Bayne, another Black Watch soldier, who sadly gave his life in WW1. Brilliant. A picture too, in uniform. Wow....🐝😎

Three times, that they have admitted to! (Could there be more? Maybe?!) so lost their right to contest a match to gain entry to the big trough of the EPL.

@Beesotted @JImblee1 I watch games on tv where i can, and love the bees (esp the history!), however, my desire to watch the current matches & EPL wanes even more. VAR killing off the enjoyment & spontaneity of it all. Too many wrongs, lack of consistency & big club bias. I’m losing the desire to stay

@Beesotted @JImblee1 Agree with Jim. The unconscious bias - if that is really what it is? - is worse than it ever has been. The errors w/out VAR were talking points after the w/end matches & the refs deserved their criticism. Now, with VAR? They still make huge errors which make them look even worse.

He was wounded & then transferred to the 13th Battalion. Also, his birth is registered in the 4th quarter, Oct/Nov/Dec 1889 in Coventry. Mother's maiden name was Montgomery.

I have a Brentford FC badge printers block that was used for the Football League Review mags in the late 1960’s/early 1970’s. Similar style. A football card print plates are usually thinner.

@MartinSLewis As a postie in the late 90’s early 2000’s. A 7:30am knock was the norm!!
As we were allowed to start delivering at 7:30am!! Finishing by 10:30am back then! lol
Shoot home, off to football!!
Couldn’t do that now.
First delivery usually around 9:30am on a Saturday. Finishing at 2pm
