No public hearing. No cumulative EIA. No proper ESZ compliance. Disregard for the 2021 HC stay order.
And now serious questions are emerging over the very tree-felling permissions linked to the H-CITI project around KBR National Park. Reports allege approvals were issued with signatures of unauthorised persons in the Tree Protection Committee, mandatory members were absent, and even the committee’s legal sanctity is under question.
If these allegations are true, the credibility of the entire H-CITI project stands deeply compromised. Flyovers around KBR no longer look like “development” — they increasingly look like a vested project pushed at the cost of Hyderabad’s last green lung and public welfare.
@revanth_anumula@TelanganaCMO@CommissionrGHMC@GHMCOnline It's time to speak up and stop choking KBR with flyovers before irreversible damage is done.
@moefcc How can you allow such illegal things under you watch ?

“Malafide or Bonafide Intent?” 🌳
Activist @LubnaSarwath asked these critical questions to the government during the SaveKBR Press Club event held on 19th May ’26.
The Government says flyovers are for “human welfare”. But what is the correct tree cover needed for human welfare in a heat-stressed city like Hyderabad? Who is supposed to protect that balance if not @GHMCOnline@TelanganaCMO@revanth_anumula@moefcc@CommissionrGHMC ?
IMD is issuing heatwave warnings. Temperatures are rising. Lakes, streams, shrubs & trees are disappearing. What should *not* be done in such a climate crisis is exactly what is being done — cutting thousands of trees around KBR.
Citizens protected KBR and Hyderabad’s ecology for over a decade. Today, without consulting citizens, SRDP has quietly become H-CITI. Fresh permissions were never transparently sought. Even before the courts, the project continues to be referred to as SRDP while critical changes are allegedly suppressed.
If a project advances by withholding information, bypassing consultation & disregarding ecological safeguards, should citizens see that as bonafide intent? Or malafide intent?
Hyderabadis are asking this question.

Seas are Rising, So are We. 🌊🌳
Citizens of #Hyderabad will not let KBR be slowly choked by flyovers in the name of development. No cumulative EIA. No respect to Eco-Sensitive Zone rules . No public hearing. Even the 2021 High Court stay order was disregarded.
@revanth_anumula@TelanganaCMO@moefcc@RahulGandhi it's high time to listen to your citizens. We Hyderabadis will not let our last green lung go forever.

Yesterday’s turnout sent a clear message: Hyderabad will not silently watch its last green lung disappear. 🌳
Citizens came together in large numbers for KBR—because no flyover is worth choking a National Park.

🚨Midnight excavation. Midnight resistance.
Last night, citizens gathered with candles & black cloth over their eyes to protest the destruction around KBR Park.
KBR is not just park—it is #Hyderabad’s lungs. We won’t let it die under the unscientific H-CITI project.
