Sheffield Wednesday Football Club can confirm that an agreement was reached last night for Dave Challinor to become the club's new First-Team Manager.
The 51-year-old will be in attendance at today's fixture against Blackpool at Hillsborough.
The club looks forward to formally introducing Dave to supporters on Monday, when further details of the appointment will be announced.
Patrick Stewart. Turned up so early and so unobtrusively to be a star in the reasonably priced car, we mistook him for a delivery driver and asked him to go round the back. Took his hat off and said, “But I’m the captain of the Enterprise”. Fucking nice guy.
Everyone knew Matthew Perry as Chandler. In 2013 he sat across from a man who called addiction a choice, and he calmly took him apart. He died three years ago today.
@stynes_rob@OwlsExtra@BetVictor Its tough one . As we need a proven football league manager, with promotion creditials. I haven't given it much thought, may be look at Chris Powell, Ryan Lowe?
Getting Danny back would be my wish, but very unlikely.
Harry Kane going from football’s most famous trophyless player to a Ballon d’Or winner might be the greatest example of why changing employers can improve your life.
We've had six consecutive league attendances over 30,000 👏
Can we make it seven for the first time since 1953!?
Let's make some history tonight, Owls!

Heading to the USA and travelling with @British_Airways - who I’ve flown with for years.
And to guarantee we sit next to our children for 10 hours, we have to pay £800 on top of the ticket price. 😳
This is simply a tax on parents. If we were not travelling with our children we wouldn’t need to pay it.
How is that fair or even legal?
The first recorded match between Notts County and The Wednesday was on February 12, 1883 in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
County won 4-1 at Bramall Lane, The Wednesday's ground of the time, in front of around 3,000 people.
