UEFA Licensed Coach with 10 Years Non-League experience. Assistant Head Coach for @engunisport Men’s Football, and Director of Football at @RyburnUtdFC.
If Keir Starmer does resign, history will look back on his reign and scratch its head as to why the hell he was so hated.
On paper, he's probably delivered more to working British people in such a short time than any PM for decades.
After inheriting an absolute mess: NHS waiting lists fallen. Worker's rights improved. Rail operators nationalised. Improved relations with EU and improved UK's global reputation. Removed non-dom tax status. Halved childcare costs. Boosted state pensions. Lowest homicide rate in 50 years. Lifted 550k children out of poverty. Immigration vastly reduced.
We are in the age of billionaire funded misinformation, whose sole purpose is to topple democratically elected leaders, and insert leadership that favours the wealthy elites over the working people. Looks like the game plan is working...
😤 "Just shut up already"
🤷♂️ "It's high and mighty for you tell us what to call it"
USA fan calls out England for not letting them call it 'soccer' over 'football' 😡
I was working with a Category One Academy U21 player this week.
I asked him if he enjoyed his training sessions.
“Not really.”
I asked why.
“Too much focus out of possession.”
It’s a theme I’m hearing more and more from academy players.
When I hear under nine players telling me they’ve been spending sessions working on defending as a unit… I really question this!
Of course, players need to understand their responsibilities without the ball.
But football is ultimately decided by what players do when they have it.
Are we spending too much time teaching shape, structure and organisation…
and not enough time helping players improve technically and tactically on the ball?
The game is played through the ball.
Player development should be too.

Brighouse Town AFC has taken the decision to request a realignment in the non-league football structure and return to playing at an amateur level at Step 7 of the Football League Non-league pyramid.
The hope is to be accepted into the West Yorkshire Association Football League. Dialogue has already begun with the management committee of this league and there has been a very positive response and reaction to our plans. We have notified the Northern Premier League and the FA of our decision and await guidance on the formal process to enable this to happen.
This is decision hasn’t been taken lightly but affords the men’s senior team a reset and a chance to re-establish itself and grow once again.
The Club takes great pride in its rise from the former West Riding County Amateur League in 2008 to the Northern Counties League First Division and then gaining promotion to the Northern Counties Premier League in 2010. Promotion to the Northern Premier League – step 4 of the Non-League Football Pyramid was gained in 2014 where it has remained up until this season. We have often said we felt we were batting above our station, but we have had a great ride and some fantastic memories and friendships made.
Spiralling wage, travel, infra-structure and administrative costs along with the loss of key experience at a senior level have caused a strategic re-appraisal and need for re-alignment.
Mark Booth has stepped forward to take the role of Chairperson of the whole club, and he will be ably assisted by Julian Prior as Secretary along with existing members of the Club’s committee. The Junior and Women’s sections are unaffected and continue to grow, and this decision will allow the whole club the chance to move forward as a united entity.
Although this is the end of one era, it is the start of a new one. We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to our supporters, volunteers, and partners for their continued backing. We hope you will remain with us on this journey as we build the next chapter of Brighouse Town AFC and continue to provide a football hub that the town can be proud of.

@EmmaGroundGuide Fair enough - it came across differently because of your 'chase the dream' comment! Brighouse have worked honestly and within their means! Many clubs throw money they don't have at it and go bust! It's a legitimate move and I hope my old club rebuilds and is better for it! 🍊
Gutted to see my old club of 10 years get relegated! All the very best to the many good people at the club and hopefully it's a time to recoup and rebuild and bring back the good times! 🍊
Mark White has managed over 1,000 games for @DorkingWDRS guided the club through 12 promotions in 25 seasons, and combines the roles of owner, chairman, and manager.
He has no coaching qualifications and he has no intention of getting any. When told he'd need badges to manage in the English Football League, his response was simple, why do I need something to prove I am something?
It's a question worth taking seriously, but it's not the whole picture.
It's all in the comments 👇
This is what Barcelona use to do to teams back in the day. They’ll knock you in those tight spaces.
Can you spot the orchestrator? Yes, Kobbie Mainoo.
I wonder why as a manager, you’d have a huge player in your hands, but cannot harness his talents.
Clever movement. Moves away to create the space then watches the CB for the check then after makes his subtle move! Haaland is the master at "one for you / one for me".
Escaping is easy, the hard part is staying free
Sesko:
- eyes on CB = he can move left as he sees the Cb scan right
- diagonal run from the CB + controls his deceleration through his left foot to meet the ball on time

🔴⚽️ Mikel Arteta is changing football language — and mindset.
No more “starters and substitutes” — now it’s “Starters & Finishers.” 💪
He believes the Finishers can be equally or even more important, bringing energy, impact, and intensity when opponents start to fade. 🔥
It’s not about when you play — it’s about how you change the game. 🧠⚽️
💭 Are you going to start using this new terminology too? 👇
🗣️ Martin O'Neill: "xG? It's total nonsense. You've got to remember what the game is about... winning football matches, that means scoring goals, not recording the expectation of them.
Expected goals' have only come about in the last few years. It's a clueless development. Some people just use these words to try to sound clever."
