@DrFrankTurek The Book of Mormon answers this question in Alma 40. The righteous go to a state of peace called paradise while the wicked go to a state of unrest. There they wait for the resurrection.
Jesus went to hades to preach the gospel to those who never heard it in life.
@Steve09812 The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ written by a branch of Israel who came to americas.
And he shall be called Jesus Christ, the Son of God.. And lo, he cometh unto his own, that salvation might come unto the children of men even through faith on his name
@Faustzme Here is the word-“and God the Father, who raised him from the dead” gal 1:1
Acts 2:24: "But God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death
30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. Acts 5:30
@needGod_net Jesus also teaches that without the good works such as helping the poor we will be cast into outer darkness.
Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment… Matt 25
@Faustzme The father has the power of resurrection as he is the one who raised Jesus from the dead (gal 1:1). Why would the father not use this power for himself? Why would he use it on the son if he wouldn’t use it on himself? Why will the father be the only one in heaven without a body?
@DiscipleFidei The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints believes Jesus is the Son of God, the savior and redeemer of the world. That is what scripture teaches us is important to believe about Jesus
@ChristandGuitar When you understand our pre mortal existence as does the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints you know that god did not place us on earth against our will but we knowingly chose this experience knowing a savior would bring us back to God.
@Faustzme Just one verse for a part of your gish gollop you’d have to reinterpret.
“24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.” James 2:24
@dttpeople Christ taught of different mansions in heaven. Paul saw someone in the third heaven. Paul teaches that people are resurrected to different glories.
When Jesus was asked how to get to heaven he taught obedience to the commandments as well as sacrifice
@Faustzme 14 Yea, verily I say unto you, if ye will come unto me ye shall have eternal life. Behold, mine arm of mercy is extended towards you, and whosoever will come, him will I receive; and blessed are those who come unto me.
3 nephi 9:14
