The Watch Ashore was formed in 1933 to support, wives/partners and families of British Merchant Navy personnel. We work to support those who are at home.
Today (2 Sept), I lay a wreath at poignant service at Cenotaph to mark #MerchantNavyMemorialDay (officially tomorrow 3 Sept), alongside City of Glasgow College Cadets Will John and Brooke Jamieson.
Happy #DayoftheSeafarer 🌊
To mark the occasion, our Projects and Welfare Co-ordinator Aiden Harvey has written a blog about his role in providing much-needed welfare support to seafarers.

Did you know, you could win a Steiff bear, and support @thefishmish!
Every year on their anniversary Ben & his late wife would fundraise for charity. Ben wanted to honour this tradition & give the Borgue Hotel a Steiff Bear to raffle and raise funds.
