The xenophobic narrative against Burundians in Kenya are not organic. They are sponsored. Period ! Let us not fall for it.

There is a concerted effort by foreign intelligence agencies to undermine African integration in response to the global political shift that is threatening the western financial institutions, their military operations and neoliberal policies. I am talking about South Africa joining BRICS; Alliance of Sahel Countries of Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger; and East African Community Integration e.t.c

Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa are regional political and economic hegemonies, and their stability and influence are critical to Africa's integration.

What better way to weaken continental unity than to fuel xenophobia within these critical countries? Because when Kenya, Nigeria or South Africa is destabilised socially to hate each other, the consequences extend far beyond their border and to other countries…they have a continental effect.
