@dandrifts91@ellis_platten It’s the same for every team playing across three different counties regardless of where the games are being played. It’s for all 104 games. Not one team can complain about the competitive advantage or disadvantage throughout the entire tournament.
@LichaKenny@ellis_platten I’m not saying that this isn’t a backdoor way of doing it but the weather in North America is very hot and very humid. It’s not fair for some teams to have hydration breaks and not others just because of the building they are playing in. Keeps competition even for all.

@worldwakeup44@IcyVert Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa call it soccer as well. You’re just anti American which is fine but at least own up to that and realize the US isn’t the only country that calls it that.
@theboyfaith@CFCDaily Gillette Stadium has always been a dual stadium for both football and soccer. It’s home to both the New England Patriots in the NFL and the New England Revolution in MLS.
@Aitch_GKR@franklinleonard It’s not a banned word by the FCC so Fox won’t get fined. The worst that happens is the Lalas has to apologize to Corden because he’s a colleague. That’s it.
@Aitch_GKR@franklinleonard Nowhere did I imply it was one in the UK & never mentioned the UK. I’m guessing you’re from the UK cause why else would you respond? You’re completely missing the context of an American using that word on American television meaning absolutely nothing except to the non Americans.
@Aitch_GKR@franklinleonard Where did I say it was? I said it isn’t one in the US. That would be grounds for firing someone in the US to use slurs on network television.
