Sales and marketing has always been about demand creation, but when it becomes an arms race, the only true edge left is to solve real problems, not artificially induced ones.
This is the tough lesson that a lot of people are learning the hard way
AI might have made building apps a lot easier, but it also set the barrier to entry at zero
Because anyone can do it, there is no moat left
The only edge left in the future will be sales and marketing
Human beings are adaptive creatures so we rise to the level our environments demand of us. There's a synergistic effect going on here with the momentum of effort and achievement. In this case, I believe its more of a perceptual conflation between 'energy levels' and what should really be labeled as 'motivation'. A virtuous cycle in which achievement begets satisfaction which begets the ability to do more by drawing out your latent energy. Same thing for how regular exercise (within reasonable bounds) gives you more energy even though you're expending more energy through the week.
Neuroticism is a functional overcompensation for an internal inequilibrium, because why the fuck would you intentionally 'overthink'? Just think for an appropriate amount and do what you gotta do.
No one:
Claude Opus 4.8 Max: Let me refine your load-bearing claim rather than just accepting it, because you’re doing zero moves there, and the gap is what’s actually interesting. The one place I’d still push, because I think it matters: your message is wearing content-clothes, but the content isn’t actually *there*. The tell: it’s just an empty string. But the emptiness of the string IS its lack of content. Pull one, and the other goes inert. That’s the structural spine.
Far left: we need to tear down the system
Center left: we need a system
Center right: we need positive-sum games
Far right: we need to win zero-sum games
