.@POTUS is restoring US cotton dominance with the Great American Cotton Plan!👖🇺🇸
Crushing unfair trade, ramping up production, opening new markets like Indonesia, and championing natural fibers over plastics under MAHA.
We have to revitalize this core industry, the very fiber of our nation depends on it.

🇺🇸 The Great American Cotton Plan represents the best of American agriculture.
Natural fibers over plastic synthetics. Cotton breathes. It lasts. It doesn’t leach microplastics.
Real American cotton = healthy skin, stronger farms, real jobs.
This is how you win: grown here, sewn here!
The Great American Cotton Plan is putting our farmers first and Making America Healthy Again:
💰 Supporting American farmers & 125,000 jobs
📈 Boosting U.S. production & reclaiming our #1 exporter spot
🏭 Rebuilding domestic textile mills and manufacturing jobs
🌿 Improving our health by choosing natural fibers over harmful synthetics and microplastics
American grown. Globally worn.
Plant, not plastic. America, not Brazil.
Thank you @RCamposDuffy, @CharlesHurt, @GriffJenkins, and the entire @foxandfriends team. So grateful for the chance to talk American cotton and MAHA this morning!
Today we launched the Great American Cotton Plan — a bold 4-pillar strategy to strengthen and secure the future of American cotton.
1️⃣ Promote American-grown cotton over foreign synthetic fibers and plastics
2️⃣ Expand domestic production and support U.S. textile manufacturing
3️⃣ Open new export markets and boost global demand for U.S. cotton
4️⃣ Protect growers from pests, trade pressures, and economic risk
From new trade agreements to expanded support for textile mills and increased global demand, @USDA, @SBA, and @HHSgov are working together to restore America’s cotton strength and competitiveness. Under @POTUS, American agriculture is back!! 🇺🇸💪👖
America grows the best cotton in the world, so let’s wear it! I was thrilled to hear @SecRollins say she’s with us on the Buying American Cotton Act. BACA would create tax credits to incentivize American companies to use American-grown cotton, keeping jobs here, strengthening rural communities, and putting American farmers first. Over 80 industry groups, farm bureaus, and major retailers are already on board. Let’s get it done!

This guy’s vow after learning about polyester is spreading fast for good reason:
“I will never let my little girl wear polyester again — and after hearing why, you might not either.”
In 65 seconds he explains the process:
Polyester is plastic — made from crude oil or recycled bottles, melted at high heat, extruded into threads through spinnerets, stretched, and coated with synthetic dyes, phthalates, BPA, antimony, and chemical treatments.
The problem:
Plastic fibers shed microplastics and nanoplastics that absorb through your skin — especially when you sweat (sports bras, activewear, leggings).
These carry endocrine-disrupting chemicals linked to hormone imbalance, fertility issues, and long-term accumulation in organs, blood, and brain.
His wake-up call:
What you wear against your skin is absorbed by your body.
Polyester clothing = wearing plastic all day.
How much of your current wardrobe is polyester?
Drop the percentage below — are you planning to make a change after this?
We know about plastic pollution in the ocean, but what about the plastic inside our bodies?
Synthetic fabrics shed microplastics we inhale and ingest. Choosing cotton helps clean up your environment and reduce your body’s plastic load.

Mississippi and other states grow the best cotton in the world, but global competition threatens their success. I introduced legislation to offer federal tax credits to boost the use and sale of U.S.-grown cotton. I’ll work to ensure it’s considered as the Senate takes up the One Big, Beautiful Bill in the coming weeks.
