Restoring dopamine is a non negotiable for energy metabolism, presence, cognitive/physical performance and vitality in a modern world where it is one of the most attacked molecules - through the attention economy, social media, porn, hyper palatable foods, drugs -
Low levels are responsible for elevated prolactin, suppressed GnRH, low testosterone and elevated glutamate:gaba ratio - ultimately leading to anhedonia, doing things because you "have to" not because you actually love doing them, loss of clarity in life, lack of purpose, low drive, low libido. You essentially become a shadow of your actual self.
True dopamine restoration requires both behavioural discipline and biochemical support.
This is what that looks like:
-Remove doomscrolling and all artificial stimulation - up-regulates blunted d2 dopamine receptors, resensitizing the reward pathway so everyday achievements trigger genuine motivation again.
-Morning sunlight - Stimulates retinal dopamine synthesis ensuring you wake up energised and fall asleep naturally and early.
-Physical challenge - Calibrates the mesolimbic reward circuit by linking dopamine release to physical effort, breaking the cycle of instant-gratification dependence and making you enjoy hard work.
-Optimal sleep - Provides the mandatory biological window for baseline receptor resensitisation, preventing the morning fatigue and chronic motivational problems.
-Seal the gut - Prevents lipopolysaccharide (LPS) endotoxins from crossing the intestinal barrier, halting the inflammation that affects dopamine synthesis.
-Iron sufficiency - Acts as the cofactor for tyrosine hydroxylase enzyme, supporting the first rate-limiting step of dopamine production - red meats, seafood/oysters
-Vitamin B3 - Generates NAD+ to recycle BH4, maintaining proper dopamine enzyme activity - liver, meats, fish
-Vitamin B6 - Acts as the direct cofactor for DOPA decarboxylase, accelerating the conversion of L-DOPA into active dopamine - liver, seafood, nutritional yeast
-Copper - Acts as the cofactor for dopamine beta-hydroxylase, allowing the change of dopamine into noradrenaline, building psychological grit under stress - oysters, organs
-Vitamin C - Donates electrons to regulate enzymatic synthesis and prevent dopamine pooling, eliminating the neurochemical stagnation that causes severe brain fog - citrus fruits
-Magnesium - Activates the COMT enzyme to degrade utilised dopamine, preventing receptor clogging and subsequent irritability or anxiety - mineral water, supplementation
-Zinc - Modulates dopamine transporters to control how long dopamine remains in the synaptic cleft, smoothing out energy crashes and sustaining focus - liver, meats, fish
-Folate (B9) - Stabilises and recycles the critical upstream BH4 cofactors while driving the methylation cycle, ensuring the dopamine production line never stops under heavy cognitive workload - organs, citrus fruits, nutritional yeast
-Vitamin D - Up-regulates the gene expression of tyrosine hydroxylase, which produces dopamine - sun, fatty fish, egg yolks
In short, if you're using screens minimally and in a sensible way, having a purpose in life, have good social connection, get good sunlight, and you're eating a proper diet (including seafood, eggs, land meats, oysters, fruit), this will move the needle for 90% of your dopamine restoration - the rest is optimisation through targeted supplementation if needed.
Digital consumption is so dangerous because it ties up all of that anxious energy that would otherwise go toward monumental accomplishments and forms of expression. The neurotically inclined used to channel their anxious energy into fringe pursuits. Sports, guitar, math problems, history, drawing. Any pursuit was better than sitting with the uncomfortable feeling of doing nothing. This created obsession. Now that all gets mopped up by doomscrolling. It quells that gnawing of anxiousness but doesn't produce anything. It tricks you into thinking you've accomplished something but leaves you empty in the end. The Diet soda of activities.
The quickest way to “get your spark back” is to literally light yourself on fire. You’ve got to burn baby. You’re depressed bc you’re not being insane enough. Double. Down. The world does not reward half ass. All in or out. You’re thinking too small. You’ve accepted your current reality as the only reality. Bullshit. You need to write a list of the most insane asks you could ever dream of. “I am a NYT best selling author. I am the founder of a Fortune 500 company. I paint for a living and I make a damn good living.” Ask and you shall receive. Embody and you become. Flip the fucking script. Your current ceiling is now the floor. Level up.
You need to burn.
If anyone ever asks you what White culture is tell them to watch the Masters: decorum, deference, high trust, no theft, self-policing, good sportsmanship, prosperity, restraint, collective goodwill. It's a civilizational master class we put on for the world every year.
If near-record backwardation is signaling acute physical shortage rather than speculation, how long can the WTI spread persist before the transmission mechanism kicks in? Aka Asian holders selling USTs to fund $173 oil imports forces the crisis from physical markets into US credit markets?
@LukeGromen Iran’s ‘selective opening’ of Hormuz to non-US/Israel ships.. does this make things better or worse for Bessent? It seems like a targeted blockade that fractures the coalition is more strategically dangerous than a total closure that unites the world against Iran
Your ancestors were 100x more radical than you.
They fought off Muslims with swords and placed their bodies on wooden spikes.
They crossed oceans to Christianize pagan lands filled with witch doctors and human sacrifice.
They were burned at the stake over a different view of communion.
They settled land filled with savages who scalped their wives and children.
They went to war over a 3% tax on tea.
You are not radical for telling women to stop dressing like whores or that Islam should be outlawed.
You are not radical for wanting to repeal the 19th Amendment or fighting for the death of feminism.
No. In fact, you must become far more intense. Far more righteous. Far more bold. Far more Christlike.
"Trump needs to focus on America, not start some overseas conflict!"
Too many people on the right are single variable thinkers. Every international move Trump makes is connected to every domestic one. You cannot separate these two domains. You are dealing with a TRANSNATIONAL criminal syndicate. The people who fund and direct the Democratic Party in America are the same people running the City of London and the EU. And guess what: the mullahs were part of that group too. It is a multi-front war, and if you want to win you have to fight on every single one of them.
Here are some questions to consider:
Obama paid IRAN $150 billion in cash right before Trump took office. What was that related to? Iran is widely believe to have terror cells across the US that were brought in under Biden. Under what scenario might they be activated?
We know Venezuela was involved with Smartmatic and the electronic theft of the 2020 election. We also know the Mexican cartels have influence and insurgent capabilities across the US, particularly in the Southwest. Trump just captured Maduro, who appears to be "cooperating with an ongoing investigation," and gave Mexico the intel to kill one of the cartel leaders, decapitating their command and control. Are these all coincidences?
I could go on and on about these events but the point is simple:
People want arrests, people want the left stopped, but they don't grasp how what happens around the globe or in financial markets impacts enemy operations at home. They don't get that economic policies and executive actions have multiple purposes; tariffs for instance can be used to reshore industry and generate tax revenue, but also to impact exchange rates and bond markets which affect enemy funding. They don't appreciate that Trump isn't playing to simply win a midterm election, but to crush the globalist cabal entirely - not just in America, but around the world.
That is why you have not seen any retaliation whatsoever from Russia or China for any of Trump's "aggression," even though they have plenty of asymmetrical ways to retaliate if they wanted to. Because although they certainly have their own interests, and Trump is clearly exerting maximum leverage on them geopolitically, they also share the same fundamental enemy in this globalist cartel which has been seeking to degrade their sovereignty. Again, not a coincidence there was an attempted coup by the globalist faction in China against Xi a few weeks ago. This group wants WW3 - in Europe, Middle East, or over Taiwan - Trump, Putin, and Xi want none of these things are working together to remove the bad actors who want to trigger these extended conflicts. Trump is not starting a major war, he is defusing one. Too bad, so sad some very awful people are going to get killed because they couldn't come to terms with it.
So everyone needs to relax. Really, it's going to be OK.
All I can say you are very lucky Trump is much smarter than you.
@RasterlyRock Bitcoin is a liquidity smoke alarm (h/t @LukeGromen). Venezuelan oil supply flooding the market gives Trump/Bessent the green light to run very hot before midterms. Assets up, Oil flat/down = W for team red.
Sure we could arrest the violent psychotics wandering the subways randomly assaulting people. But what if, instead if doing that, we radically transformed and restructured every aspect of society? Doesnt that sound just a bit easier?
🚨Study involving 1.7 million children has found that Myocarditis & Pericarditis only appeared in children who had received COVID mRNA vaccines.
Not a single unvaccinated child in the group suffered from these heart-related problems.
Subconscious Fact of the Day:
Gratitude interrupts fear at the neurological level. Not hope. Not positive thinking. Gratitude. Focus on what's working and your brain stops scanning for threats. That's how you shift from survival mode to growth mode.
