What are the explanations for the pandemic enrollment drops at 2-year colleges? Loss of childcare is credible. Extra time home to apply for (and attend) more elite 4-years instead, maybe. Might also be the pandemic aid boosting family budgets, making other options more feasible.
Some colleges receive over $100 million in Title IV federal student aid per year, but show the majority of their students earning less than a high school graduate, even 10 years after enrollment.
