Hugo is a 9 month old male Yellow Labrador. 
He is available and looking for a new home as his owner has some health problems. 
Hugo is chipped and healthy with no medical issues. 
He is use to children and likes to play with other dogs. 
Hugo has been to two dog training sessions and really enjoyed these. He sleeps in his crate at night and eats Royal Canin - Puppy Maxi. 
Hugo is very happy to go in the car and loves treats. He is up to date with his flea and worm treatment and also registered at the vets. 
Hugo hasn't lived with a cat but has been around cats with no issues. 
He loves to play and roll around. 
An active owner and someone who likes the outdoors is best for Hugo. 
He would be suited to a home with a secure garden. 
Hugo is a lovely dog and will make a great family pet.

The English government is to ban new North Sea drilling. This comes at a time when, according to that same government, we should be stockpiling food, water and other essentials in preparation for potential attacks.

Apparently, accessing our own oil and gas is not essential in wartime, despite the fact that this forces Scotland to rely on imports from abroad, which could be sunk before they even reach our shores.

The fearmongering and nonsensical policies imposed by England must be firmly rejected by Scotland. The influence of this farcical regime has gone on long enough. Scottish independence is the only option.

Benny is a 3-year-old female Border Collie. She is seeking companionship and would love someone who can shower her in love and affection.
Benny is fine around cats and small dogs. She can be wary of larger dogs.
Benny has never been around kids so would need a home with no children, as this is what she is use too.
She is chipped and healthy with no medical issues.
Benny eats kibble and enjoys the chicken flavour. She also likes bananas and boiled eggs as a treat.
During the day she usually sleeps in her own bed but does like to cosy up to her owner at night.
She is used to travelling on the bus and just lays down. She can be wary of the noise of the bus.
Benny doesn't like to be left on her own, she does prefer company all of the time, so someone who is home all of the time is best.
She is registered at the vets and up to date with her vaccinations.
Benny likes treats.
She also likes to play with toys and loves a squeaky toy. She also likes hard chew toys and treats dispensing toys.
Benny loves to be petted and given attention. She is a big fan of kisses and loves going on walks.
She can be nervous with loud noises and bigger cars passing her by but is good at being distracted with a treat.
Benny isn't a fan of fireworks and on fireworks night she spent her time in the bathroom with the light off and her owner sat with her with a movie on her phone.
Benny will make a great companion pet to someone who is looking for a sweet and loving dog.

My view:

The full new State Pension is roughly £12,548 a year.

Someone working 37.5 hours a week on the £12.71 minimum wage earns about £24,785 before tax.

That puts the full new State Pension at barely half a full-time minimum-wage salary.

Government figures show that 12% of pensioner families received their income entirely from the State Pension and other state benefits in 2024/25.

That same year, around 1.7 million pensioners — one in seven — were living in relative poverty after housing costs.

A better pension means being able to heat your home, eat properly and see friends without calculating what you’ll have to go without afterwards.

It also means money spent in the communities where pensioners live.

After a lifetime of working, caring and contributing, financial security should be something people can expect.
