I read Walter Benjamin, I read Julius Evola. I don’t really care if a writer is left or right. But they have to have something. This something I can simplify as ‘vision’, ‘intensity’, or simply ‘talent’, but in truth it’s more like a hard-to-define ‘X’.
Soon we will realize that short wavelength (UV & blue) light is akin to cheap processed (mostly) empty calories. Long wavelength Red & IR light is the high quality protein of the light for health world. My campaign to bring back incandescent lights has begun. & get sunlight too!
that I would be so tired from conspiracies over the years by the time people start openly talking about them I don't feel like it. These rollouts of conspiracy are initiations into atrocity. The efforts of modern theorists are better directed at the manifestation of good not bad.
Actually the real “deprogramming” of propaganda is effectively “silencing the internal monologue” that is produced by propaganda— which requires a higher form of literacy, to return to the silence of preliteracy. Meditation is about ending the internal monologue, not enhancing it.
@vividvoid@byte_curious_ Rilke also said, “I hold this to be the highest task for a bond between two people: that each protects the solitude of the other.”
This is one of those quotes I can’t forget and makes me love better
If you don't keep at least one thin inch of your interiority for yourself, & hopefully more, you will destroy all possibility of mystery, and therefore erotic charge. Worse, you lose the space in which you can withdraw & renew yourself, which keeps the relationship fresh
One of the central myths of American romance right now is this notion that you and your partner should be able to tell each other anything and everything
I am begging you not to do this
Anything that happens at 0° Aries is a reset button in astrology. When the Sun reaches 0° Aries, that's the spring equinox, the beginning of a new astrological year. When an outer planet conjunction happens there, or within 4° or so of the beginning of Aries, it marks a new age of the world, and the slower the planets, the more important the change of ages will be. A Neptune-Saturn conjunction in that location, especially since it's literally 0°, is huge. (The only outer planet conjunction that would pack more clout is Uranus-Neptune, and that hasn't happened at 0° Aries in recorded history.)
The last time Saturn and Neptune were in the beginning of Aries was 593 BC. That marked the beginning of the Axial Age -- the birth of philosophy, formal mathematics, and prose literature, the emergence of the first democracies, the spread of literacy outside the scribal classes over much of Eurasia, the birth of scriptural religions, and much, much more. We're heading into another change of equal magnitude, or even more intense, since this one is closer to the zero point of Aries than the one 2618 years ago. Hang onto your hat!
Hundreds of ancient human remains are secretly being buried in a remote desert 1,000km from Sydney.
No one knows who the people were, how, or when they died. But the reburial has stirred deep emotions.

This week, one of the most important fossils ever found in Australia (and perhaps the world) was taken to an undisclosed location, put in a hole and covered with dirt

"Our results reveal that whenever handwriting movements are included as a learning strategy, more of the brain gets stimulated, resulting in the formation of more complex neural network connectivity...typewriting do[es] not activate...networks the same way that handwriting does."
'I think our reverence for the truth is preventing us from finding consensus' is the perfect summation of 21st century liberalism- this statement must be at the centre of all attempts to analyse it
