The Republican-controlled Kentucky legislature overrode a veto by Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear and changed the way the state picks replacements for U.S. senators who leave office before their term is up.
If McConnell leaves office early, the seat will now stay in GOP hands.
@HaschVivian @RightWingWatch It's red nail polish... No wait debit cards, nevermind, that's what I was told back in the early 80s. Mark it the beast keeps changing so it's hard to stay current. 😂😂
When I hear men worshipping guns and talking about how there’s nothing that will stop them from defending their family, my mind goes to Naaman in the Bible. Do you remember Naaman? He was a great military leader, and he also had leprosy.

I urge Congress to pass the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. We need to make it easier for all eligible Americans to access the ballot box and prevent attacks on the sacred right to vote.

The dividing line in the world right now is democracy Vs. autocracy.
Think about who Russia allies with. 114 people were killed in Myanmar yesterday. They carry out war crimes alongside Asad in Syria. Who supports Russia at the UN over Crimea votes? Not one free democracy.

@DHStokyo Massachusetts has 9 bills, 5 around voter id, 4 around absent voting. I was unable to find text of any bills. I doubt the extremely Democratic legislature will restrict voting & I doubt GOP Gov @CharlieBakerMA would sign it, but I will watch. We do want to make mail in permanent.
@DHStokyo In Michigan the GQP legislature is trying to veto proof a bill that restricts voting access by obtaining just 15% of voters signatures. Just to be clear, after MI elected Dems. to all statewide elected positions, the GQP are trying to usurp the voters.
The recently passed Georgia voter suppression law — SB 202 — should not be taken lightly. Given what we just witnessed in the 2020 election, we must be aware of the GOP’s willingness to overturn results they deem “fake”. Here’s how this bill gives them power to do just that: 1/
