vaguely remember that during/soon after COVID, some big-name tech bosses were asked on podcasts:
"If you had to start over today, what would you build?"
a few of them, on different podcasts, gave the same answer: web3 :)
@SlackHQ It’s time for a Slack-like app built specifically for agents.
Slack carries too much legacy from human group chat. The integration model feels clumsy, and channels become noisy very quickly.
@DWalpiri first the same-language territory, then broader historical claims
Nazi started with german-speaking Austria and the Sudetenland before expanding deeper into Europe.
CCP will take mandarin-speaking Taiwan first, then any region Beijing claims was once tied to ancient China
@zeroxjackson by this age, i don’t think i can one-shot any leetcode problem by hand on whiteboard without any pre-training, and within reasonable timeframe (eg, 10 minutes) . not enough compute cycle at this age.
@GergelyOrosz need a public database of raw cold emails and sender addresses
People could learn what bad cold emails actually looks like, while also building a continuously updated list of spam domains and email addresses
@DrewPavlou Based on the “5,000 years of Chinese history” logic, the civilization of the U.S. is at least 7,000 years old ; tracing its roots back to Mesopotamia.
The 5-hour usage window of Codex / Claude Code might accidentally invent the 5-hour workday?
Charles Darwin and Charles Dickens only worked ~4 hours a day

I strongly believe there are entire companies right now under heavy AI psychosis and its impossible to have rational conversations about it with them. I can't name any specific people because they include personal friends I deeply respect, but I worry about how this plays out.
I lived through the great MTBF vs MTTR (mean-time-between-failure vs. mean-time-to-recovery) reckoning of infrastructure during the transition to cloud and cloud automation. All those arguments are rearing their ugly heads again but now its... the whole software development industry (maybe the whole world, really).
It's frightening, because the psychosis folks operate under an almost absolute "MTTR is all you need" mentality: "its fine to ship bugs because the agents will fix them so quickly and at a scale humans can't do!" We learned in infrastructure that MTTR is great but you can't yeet resilient systems entirely.
The main issue is I don't even know how to bring this up to people I know personally, because bringing this topic up leads to immediately dismissals like "no no, it has full test coverage" or "bug reports are going down" or something, which just don't paint the whole picture.
We already learned this lesson once in infrastructure: you can automate yourself into a very resilient catastrophe machine. Systems can appear healthy by local metrics while globally becoming incomprehensible. Bug reports can go down while latent risk explodes. Test coverage can rise while semantic understanding falls. Changes happens so fast that nobody notices the underlying architecture decaying.
I worry.
Cloudflare's new website would make you think it is a new AI inference cloud like Fireworks or Baseten or Nebius or something and not the world's most popular CDN for 20 years.
They literally have erased any mention of CDN, their main product from their whole website.
Crazy
Wild to see every VC funded and publicly traded tech company rebrand to being an AI company
Paging company —> the platform for AI-first operations
CDN —> AI Cloud
Helpdesk software —> AI-powered helpdesk platform
o11y —> AI-powered intelligent o11y
Everywhere…
It’s like pre-seed for 1000+ potential startup founders , and they are already familiar with cloudflare platform and c
an build on top of it and launch fast
